Dog man 48 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 So, what's the scariest thing to happen to you? For me it would be when I found Moles and around them was a white patch on my bodies And I thought it was Cancer! It took quite a bit of courage to bring up the topic to my mother ( Shes a Nurse so I thought She'd be the best to ask), Anyways she took me to the Doctor and the Doctor Confirmed it was Vitiligo, I was Happy that it wasn't Cancer But terrified Of this illness which I'd never heard of, But the Doctor Assured me it is Non-Fatal. But Now certain parts of my skin Is very VERY weak against sun so I have to be careful, I hardly went out in the Sun Anyways so it isn't much of a Impact on my Life. But scary all the same. BTW this happened like a few Days Ago?! So, what's the scariest thing to happen to you?
Standard User 2,127 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 At running camp, we had a race where you are given a start and a general idea of where the finish is, then you have to run/hop/trip your way through desert, glaciers, forest, cliffs, and potholes. While climbing down the final valley I slipped and slid down to the bottom, smacking my head on a boulder and (unbeknownst to me at the time) tearing a chunk out of my thigh.I would later find out that, was the cut a few inches in one direction or a few centimeters in the other, I would have severed major arteries and probably would have bled out in the bottom of the canyon, half a mile from the finish. Closest I've ever came to dying. 2 oOo RIP Forums Writing Centre ;_; oOo
RrVPfX9cPtw59FpC 1,304 August 12, 2013 Share August 12, 2013 The scariest thing to ever happen to me? Well, really, not much. The scariest thing that happened IRL would have to be when I was a child and started my parent's car. It almost rolled into busy traffic. There was also the time when I saw some really creepy gigantic bees. they were the size of a marker cap, no exaggeration whatsoever. I think that's all. 1 This signature was removed for being too obnoxious and arrogant. -Makusu2 By the way, if you're talking to me in a thread, please quote my previous post. DubWolf 17,264 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 I think for me, it is scary that I am not scared of certain things that I should be. It's like not being afraid of jumping off the Empire State Building even though you know you will most definitely be killed when you hit the bottom.. FireFox 82 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 The scariest thing to ever happen to me was 03 May 1999. I was in the USAF stationed at Tinker AFB, OK. I was living in Moore, OK. I was at work when the most powerful tornado ever recorded went through. It destroyed part of the Base and went just one block south of my house. There was so much destruction that I had to go almost to Texas before I was able to come back up to my house. Luckily, my house was spared. My cat was at the front door when I got there and I cried from joy seeing her. There were a lot of people that lost their homes that day. I was so lucky. I have nightmares about that day all the time. At one time I thought I would like to chase tornado's and get video. After that day, I never want to see another.
Moonlight 7,286 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 I'm pretty sure this was all out of hallucination. But, one time I woke up at around 3 a.m. to see a shadow near my bed, it looked like it was watching me. I knocked it off as a dream, but then I looked it up and found something called "shadow people" that describes it perfectly. When I saw it, I had severe trouble breathing and turned back around and fell back asleep extremely quickly. 3 matching setups with my bff pathfinder
Eureka 1,119 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 One time on Halloween, I was trick or treating. I was walking off of the porch, when someone jumped out from behind the door and yelled "BLARHHH" with a Guy Fawkes/V for Vendetta mask on. I was like 7. Scared the crud out of me 2 Quote Eureka's words of wisdom has inspired me, I should start listening to her more. ~DX Silver
Cottonwood Jack 13 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 I used to be a Wildland Firefighter and I've had multiple encounters with death, but there are two that stand out. The first I was on a 20,000 acre fire just a few miles from where I live and we had been working since 6 am the day before and it was around 4 am when we were pushed off the fire because it was creating too many spot fires on the other side of us. Well as the assistant squad boss, it was my duty to bring up the rear and make sure that everyone on our crew was out...and we were at the end. Before we got out we had to run because we had a wall of fire gaining on us from down the hill and fire all along the other side of the road. It was pretty crazy. The second was my final year of fighting fire. I wasn't with my normal crew, as they had left without me while I was at a wedding. But the other crew and I were first to respond to a fire on top of a hill. After starting our hose lay we were told by our lookout to "Get out of there, its blowing up. Get out of there!" We jumped in our engine and drove...before we could get down the hill we had a 150ish foot wall of flames directly on one side of our engine and the top of the flames were leaning over the road, lighting the tops of the trees on the other side on fire. When we got to the bottom, we got out and looked, on the entire side of our engine, the paint was bubbled and scorched. 2 I go by Cottonwood Jack, Cottonwood, Jack or CJ...but most of my friends call me Applejack or AJ. Course that's cause Applejack is my favourite Pony!
Smarts 1,622 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 I can name one in particular that really scared me. This one time time, I had the most unsettling dream. It was like torture in dream form. I would be forced underwater or strangled by something. That of course meant I couldn't breathe. It happened to me several times until I woke up, desperately breathing for air. I felt lightheaded and a dizzy afterwards. Have not had a dream like that since and quite frankly, I don't want to. 4 IF is best girl.
Stoney Pony 100 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Probably when me and a few friends 3 to be exact went to this haunted abandoned asylum for like mentally unstable children. And we were exploring it and apparently on like the third floor you can hear a little girl laugh and people apparently get pushed in the drained pool in the pool area. So we arrive and its like 2 in the morning and we break this boarded up window. and i brought my back pack with my bowie knife in it in case there was like some crazy person or a unstable homeless dude. Anyway the window opens up into the pool room. and we start flashing our flashlights all over checking things out. Outside of the pool room is like a big hallway with rooms on each side of the hall then at the end of the hall there was another hall and a set of stairs. there where three floors. we go to the third floor and start checking things out joking around. one of my friends swears she feels uneasy and is like super scared holding on to my arm. and my other buddy is saying he keeps seeing shadows but i thought he was trying to scare my other friend because she scares real easy. after about an hour of being retarded. It's like 3 am and where on the bottom floor about to leave and my friend says he sees shadows by the stairs we all look. and i see a large shadow of something all the way behind the corner of the adjacent hallway. we hear this deep, deep groan or moan it sounded like... i cant even explain like unhuman! so my two friends take off to the pool room and out the window. mean while im literally frozen solid and i felt a fear unlike anything i can explain. It was like in my mind i knew i was going to die and i see this shadow stumble closer to me. I had my flashlight but i was too scared to shine a light on it so im just watching this thing make this groaning painful sound. It sounded like something was being stabbed to death, like a monster was being stabbed to death! It's like 10 feet away and i notice my friends are gone and i turn around and book it to the pool room i dropped my flashlight and mind you it is pitch, pitch black in this place and im running so fast that i hit like a book shelf with my shoulder but i dont stop so im holding my arm in pain, and i hit this thing hard! the groans feel like they are 5 or 8 feet behind me but i did not look back and i turn into the pool room jump out the window and my friends are gone. so i leave the complex because there where a couple of buildings. Walk home (i did not run because i did not want cops to stop me check me and find an 8 inch bowie knife.) and when im in my room. i sat there until like 6 when the sun came up. I have never been more afraid in my life and i will never go back there. and i actually have never told anyone this story besides the people who were there, so you guys are the first.
techno915 408 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 the scariest thing that has ever happened to me? well, given that i watch Doctor Who, it usually happens that the scary stuff in my life generally originates from there. the only thing that has been truly scary in my life that i can think of right now that wasn't in a dream would be when i felt like i was drowning in my neighborhood pool and my dad was taking a long time to finally notice me. he's probably forgotten the incident, but i haven't. i can even point out where in the pool i was. 2 This signature was created by coastercrutchfield. |--(0)--| techno915Previously: TARDIS915

The Awesome One 1,315 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 There was an attack by the Taliban on a Navy College which was literally 20 seconds from my school. So when a truck full of explosives drove rammed down it's gates and blew up the place, the debris flew into our school and the blast actually shattered most of the windows in our school. I was maybe 8 or 9 when this happened and I still remember running out the emergency exit and being very very scared because there was still a very good chance that they would blow up our school as well. We were taken outside the school through another gate and my parents picked me up from there.
Celtore 2,770 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 (edited) Would "being forced down a 1500 foot zipline by your parents while on vacation" count? Honestly, that was the scarriest thing that I've ever experienced. I hate roller coasters and extreme rides. Being tied down to a chair and having my feet pressed up against a metal gate that could open at any moment was utterly terrifying. I still can't believe I did that..... Oh Akatosh why 43 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 For some backstory. My parents are beekeepers and we have oh, two hives. That's about 200,000 bees. Might I add that these bees are extremely aggressive when its time for honey extraction. Anyway about 2 weeks ago it came time for the extraction of said honey, 200,000 angry bees swarming infront of your face, I got stung about 20 times. Which BTW i'm not that fond of pain. I should probably add that I am incredibly scared of bees as. when I was 6ish I nearly got stung to death and had to spend 3 days in the hospital (and i'm not allergic that just goes to show how many times I was stung) 4 In training

I am terrified of bees Well one time I remember being terrified was a few weeks ago I was home alone and there was a gigantic thunderstorm. So I was outside playing basketball and next thing you know in comes a 60 mph wind gust which slams me into a car. Two seconds later (or what seemed like two seconds) in comes the pounding rain and lightning. I barley escaped the storm before the hail came. Anyway I was in my house and I was pretty scared a tree would come crashing through my roof at any second but luckily that didn't happen. 4 Oh

That does kind of remind me of an instance where I saw one. ^^ I did this lucid dreaming stuff, and one technique involved you going into sleep paralysis without losing consciousness. It kinda failed, and I woke up by accident before I got in. Here is a very accurate representation of what happened: "Hello, mister shadowy figure! Now aren't you a scary little guy! Are you going to just stand there? Doing absolutely nothing? What? What's this? A light switch? Oh my! It would be a shame if someone would switch the lights on!" *click* *shadow person dies* But anyway, what was the scariest thing that happened to me? Can't really think of anything, really. I didn't really have anything scary happen to me. 3 Who needs signatures? ...not me seriously, you're not supposed to see this.
Icicle the Ice Pony 14 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Well, when I was 10, I was at my aunts house, on an old unstable tree house about 25 feet high. I fell right through the floor, and got knocked out. Woke up in the house, with an ice pack on my ribs. WORST PAIN EVER. Luckily, I broke nothing! Just scratches and bruises, and itchy eyes because debris fell on them. 1 Signature made by Me
Radost 76 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 (edited) The time i came closest to death was when i was snowboarding, it was a really col day, but the day before that was really warm, so everything was very icey. i decided to go down the north face, witch has the steepest hills. i got about half way down when their stopped being snow, and it was all ice. their was allot of bends that you can go off of, and i could hardly control my board, i don't know how fast exactly i was going, but i know it defiantly wasn't a safe speed to crash at thinking i was going to die, my adrenaline kicked in very hard, and everything became super clear, and i made it down the entire mountain without crashing, i have no idea how. Here is a scary one. first of all, i had gotten caught by the cops with a small amount of weed, that was pretty scary its self. I was fine with the community service, but i had to go to this drug rehab thing one time. I showed up, and i was the ONLY white person in the entire room, their had to be 20 people in their. I was on the bad side of town to, the area i was in is the most ghetto part of Pittsburgh. I was in a room with real drug dealers and cut thought's. Some of them had their gang names tattoo on their neck. I had to sit in that room for 4 hours, filling out nonstop useless shit. We had a break to, and i went to go get something to eat and i thought i was going to get shot. I played it off really cool though, and i got out safely. It was VERY scary. here is a freaky story. so how about my friend Dave, he used to live in a house with a demon in it. I get chills just thinking about this. If you were upstairs, you could hear people calling your voice, the freaky part is they were familiar voices, and when you went down their no one called your name. At night you could hear people running down the halls. Here is the worst part. We decided to get a wedgie board. We started to ask it questions, and it responded. I am not going to say everything we asked it, but the final question was do you want to hurt us. And it spelled out Y E S and the peace flew off the board and the power went out for like 10 secs.
