I'll admit. I like my job. But I do not like doing payroll. Payroll sucks

 

I've got, like, 100+ people including our staff, doctors, nurses, supervisors, etc who I keep track of. Doing time edits for our people who are paid a wage is the worst. It eats up the most of my time. These last two months have been especially rough with all the holidays...And my boss always wants me to help him with everything right just now when I'm working on something else....I'm getting overwhelmed! :/

 

I've heard nothing but bad things about doing payroll.  It sounds tedious.

@@Pinkie-Guy, Haha to do it all by hand would be terrible. But our system is extremely primitive. Which is sad considering that the OU (University of Oklahoma) Medical Center is one of the biggest hospitals in the state. We do a lot of things by hand. In May, though, we're upgrading our payroll system and a lot of what I'm doing will be automated. It'll remove a lot of unnecessary work involved with what I do as payroll coordinator in training and I'll have a lot more time to focus on the other things I do like prepare travel claims, process vouchers, and process money transfers.

@@Pinkie-Guy, Can't say that I have...OU Med isn't necessarily poorly run as much as it is that all of our systems are out of date. Like...It almost feels like our last upgrade was getting rid of the community abacus

I was just looking into that...crazy...

 

Anyway it's nice to see they're still making CD's annoying to open...I mean, come on Virgin Records! You're a leading record producer who has signed some of the biggest names in history...yet you can't make a CD with the little sticker on it to keep the case closed that doesn't leave all the glue on the jewel case??

 

That's gonna be annoying to remove -.-

And this is a minor gripe but why are we packaging this album in a small form factor double album jewel case? The inserts create this bulge (because the lyrics booklet is so thick) in the case and it's driving me crazy! Lol
