I have tried coffee before sleeping once. It took a couple of hours battling the potential energy stored from the caffeine, but I was able to fight it and sleep after four hours...

 

I wish I could do that. I kid you not, if I drink coffee after 12 noon, I'll have a hard time sleeping. 2 cups of coffee in the morning will do me pretty good. A third cup makes me jittery and my hands get all clammy.

If only I didn't throw my old HP in the trash....of course that thing had more problems than a broken screen (though that wasn't a problem)

Many attempts to take it apart and finally succeeding at a complete teardown revealed to me that the CPU thermal paste had been baked into a solid. Seriously. It was just crust. Ya know...after running so much Skyrim on that thing. 

 

AMD made an incredibly tough CPU in that thing with all the times I'm sure it was glowing red hitting 90 - 95°C... 

 

Oh man was I a noob or what

I am never buying an HP computer again.

 

 

Horrible Products? Yeah. My old HP was actually a pretty good machine all things considered, but I'm never buying another one. 

 

Well, I never actually bought that old computer. More so, it was a birthday present. But after the hard drive failed on it, I was done with HP. I only go for SSD's

 

Though...I didn't really take a step up when I bought a Toshiba as my new laptop either

I've heard of HP laptops deforming into some weird kind of Transformer due to the suckish cooling inside them. Of course, that means thermal throttling and burnt thighs too...

 

Also this monstrosity... (Dat unplugged SATA cable though. )

I think Daring linked me to that video once. I've watched all parts. It was pretty sad to see it, especially when you consider that only Compaq was where HP sucked at one point. This kind of computer isn't useful for anyone outside of people who will use it to check email. But yeah. Dat laptop processor and power supply doe.

And eh. I don't know. I might join that forum one of these days. 

Toshibas aren't bad by any stretch. But I haven't had a whole lot of luck with them. Mine is just fine except that it was a pretty rare laptop and finding a replacement battery for it is virtually impossible.
