Well at first I didn't mind it because I planned to be on the road before now, but I have run into a few setbacks and so I'm still here.

So FIlly, here's something you may or may not have heard of

I'm messing around on my desktop when suddenly it locks up. Weird on new hardware, but I don't have a choice. I had to reset. So I power it off and back on.

Now I can't use Windows at all. The keyboard and mouse work just fine in BIOS, but I can't do anything in Windows. And Windows doesn't freeze once it boots. I sat there for a couple minutes and the clock moved up a minute so I know it's not that. Also, it's not even connecting to the internet.

I am beyond pissed because I don't really have the time to diagnose this.

I must have been cruel to puppies in a previous life or something.

That really sucks.

Have you already installed the other motherboard drivers before this happened, the chipset, ethernet, etc. drivers? But then again, you won't be able to install them in case if you haven't since your peripherals don't work in Windows, so I'm not sure... :(

How about disabling XHCI Mode in the UEFI BIOS? Seems like it worked for a fair amount of ASUS motherboard owners who had the same problem like yours.

Anyway, got to sleep now.

Night CTAM!

O Linus Plushie. How in the holy balls do I get my PC to work again? :(

*pulls string*

"Nothing."

THE PLUSHIE HAS SPOKEN!

Hm. I might try that, though. I'll just have to remember to do it tomorrow afternoon.

And yes, I had all my ethernet, USB and other drivers installed. So missing drivers aren't the issue. Unless they were somehow corrupted, which is a possibility I can't rule out. I had to have my ethernet drivers installed. Otherwise I couldn't be browsing the interwebs.

Goodnight Filly!

I just learned that the character limit does not factor here even if it shows that it does.
