Eg. You wouldn't entrust certain things to minors such as drinking and driving a car. I believe there's a time and place for everything, but many people feel the need to rush into responsibility. On the other hand, if you're elderly, I don't really see a problem if they're incapable of performing tasks. Well, the system sure isn't perfect, but it's FAR better than some other countries.
