I couldn't use the Ultra Low Noise Adapters so I had to swap them out for the standard Low Noise Adapters (which run a little louder but cooler, too). I'm still hitting 62 degrees. That's better than using the other adapters, which let it get to 75 degrees. Then I stopped Prime95 I refuse to let go until you're impressed. I refuse to let go until I'm depressed. lomk 20,666 April 24, 2015 Share April 24, 2015 282240 No. Under load. Prime95 torture tests your CPU. I've been running it for about 20 minutes, though, and it hasn't got over 64 degrees yet. The Ultra Low Noise adapters limit the fans to 1200 RPM. These regular adapters limit them to 1400 RPM. Using no adapters makes them really loud, but they run at 1600 RPM and give the best cooling. Of course, this is still better than my stock fan, which was hitting 4000 RPM with no overclocking. 64 degrees I can live with. 75 makes me uncomfortable. I refuse to let go until you're impressed. With my old 7770 my score was 2,657 Then I got my R9 290 and my new score was 7,175 Then I overclocked my CPU and my new score is 7,455 So my new hardware made a huge difference.
