Hey Woona, what do you think about a Dodge Dart?

I thought you were getting a Mustang.

Anyway, if I were to take the I-came-from-a-Chevy-family bias out of the equation, I don't think it'd be a bad car. I don't know how well it'd hold its value, though. I think it might be put together in a way to make it as affordable as possible, but who knows what the car would be worth in 5 years or how long you'd be upside down on it? Resale value might be something to consider. That's if you buy new

Buying used...well who knows how hard the previous owner drove it? I don't think it'd make a bad college car though. Something inexpensive to own and insure while you're spending a lot of money on school and not making much money at work

I can't afford a Mustang, and they are nowhere near practical enough for around here. I'm stuck between a Dart, and a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.

You'd probably be better off financially in the Dart.

You'd probably be much happier in the Outlander.

If I were choosing between the two, I'm getting the Outlander hands down.

Well, I was reading about both. If I was to get a Dart, I'd have to get the largest of the 3 engines. However, the Outlander as a base model has a decent powertrain, but oddly enough, the bigger engine it has is shared with the Dart.

Hm. That's interesting. So you'd be looking at the 2.4L Dart if you're going that route?

I guess you also have to look at what you're going to be using it more for. For instance, which would you appreicate more in winter? That Prelude was bottoming out on ice when it snowed more than a few inches, which was another determining factor into why I chose the HR-V. If it snows a lot up there in winter, you'll probably want that Outlander, especially if you're going to be out a lot.

But I can't stay up anymore. I'm supposed to be reporting for duty at 7 tomorrow morning.

Goodnight, everyone!

Yes. The 1.4 and 2.0 powertrains are garbage. The 2.4 has been used for years, in many applications, and has proven itself. Plus, it has 185 hp...  :P
