I hope the population of the earth goes down one day. I wonder what effect it would have on the global economy if the death rate exceeded the birth rate. 

 

In any case, if we reach Earth's carrying capacity, I feel like that would be far worse than if the population just naturally declined on its own.

I hope the population of the earth goes down one day. I wonder what effect it would have on the global economy if the death rate exceeded the birth rate.

It will either slow down on its own or the earth's limits will force it to slow down. There are only so many people this planet is possibly capable of supporting. Sometimes I get the feeling we are getting extremely close if we're not aleady there.

My brother and my parents talk to me about marriage and possibly having kids one day. To be honest, that scares the shit out of me and I want nothing to do with it. 

 

They think I'll never get married. 

 

It's not on my priority list. 

 

It's on my "avoid these things" list.

It's not having important short term stuff going on. I just don't want to get married. If I never get married or have kids or a family or shit like that, I wouldn't be mad. 

 

But I live in that part of the country where if you're gay, you will go to hell. 

 

It's like everybody has to be involved in the way you live your life. How I live my life is nobody's fucking business but mine. If I want to watch ponies and eat chips all day, then as long as I'm keeping the lights on and the car paid for and I'm not in jail, don't tell me how to live it. It's as simple as that. As long as I'm taking care of my responsibilities, I answer to nobody. It pisses me off when they say things like, "Are you ever going to get a girlfriend?" Bitch, please, if I wanted a girlfriend, I would be trying to get a girlfriend. Yes, I'm open to the idea of casual dating, but I'm not really looking to get married. I don't know that I ever will. And you know what? I hope I disappoint everybody when I don't marry or reproduce. When I die alone, it'll be my last "FUCK YOU" to the world.

People seem to put this "love" concept above all. No. I believe in sharpening the mind. I want to learn. I want to go places. I want to try new things. Why do I want to get myself tied down to another person? I'd have to drag them along with me everywhere I go. 

 

It's like it's a foreign concept to literally everybody to not want to marry. Like because I enjoy being single, I'm sick. 

 

No. I just have my head screwed on straightest when I'm single.
