It's not really ugly per say, and it's pretty unique. Just...I dunno, just not particularly liking it. Everything just looks kinda...Not sure how to describe it. It's mostly the characters that bother me. They just don't look quite right.

Never seen the pilot, they do look worse there.

 

 I won't hold it against the show. It's kind of a problem I've had with a lot of more recent cartoons. Adventure Time's character designs also kinda bug me. Gravity Falls kinda does too, though to a lesser extent. But I can't put my finger on why exactly.
