Actually, you can interact with your tulpa, but your tulpa can't interact with the rest of the world. And she is my tulpa, although not fully developed.

She doesn't have a canon personality, but she does have canon bits and pieces of her personality which I used to build her personality.

I can't possibly imagine what could happen in 20 years. Buckton of things have changed in my life in those couple of months of 2014, how the hay am I supposed to predict what's going to happen in 20 years?

And also if this Octy thing remains 20 from now, and both of us would be happy, I don't see a problem there. It's not like it's going to affect my social/professional etc. life, as it isn't affecting those now.

Now are they supposed to forget about each other and find someone else to love?

 

There are plenty of stories where people go on loving someone they will never interact with again, like the girl in Titanic.

Like in the Golden Compass series, a boy and a girl from different worlds meet each other and fall in love, but then they find out that they have to close the portals that allow them to travel between worlds.  So they have to go back to their own worlds, where they will never see each other, never touch each other, or ever talk to each other ever again.  All they can do is look up at the moon, because they know the other is doing the same thing.

 

They may be real characters but they would never be able to interact with each other for the rest of their lives.

Well pretty much the whole point of tulpae is that they can interact with you. If you had read the OP of that thread I shared, you would've known that.

No only you can interact with them, but probably not in a physical sense.  Just communicatative.

 

Also even though they could interact at one point, they never will again.  Each one has to guess what the other is doing, what they look like and so on.
