And it's not programming, it's design.  Programming comes after I've finished my concept.  Think of it like a building.  First you design the blueprint, then you build it, then you make it all pretty.

Well maybe for the story or for character animations, but I normally just use graph paper for sketches and docs.  But yeah it can be fun, but it's also a lot of work.  There are a lot of easy programs to make games like Gamemaker or Project Spark (Windows 8.1).  Maybe you should give one a try?
