It was pretty awful. I mean, my life did a complete 180 and I couldn't be more distant from my childhood, but I'm scarred and it gives me a huge inferiority complex. I can't talk to people I don't know because I think everyone will either hurt me or berate me. It's a lonely life, not being able to talk to people. I thought about suicide a lot when I was a teenager until my foster parents bought me a guitar and I could better express myself through music. It saved my life, I tell ya, and I'll never go back to that dark place again. But still. I still have nightmares. Sometimes I lay in bed and I feel like I'm falling and I wake up to realize that everything is fine. 

 

Yeah I'd get the snot beaten out of me for the littlest things. Forgiving my father was the hardest things I've ever done. Forgetting the past...well that's something I'm still working on even after years of therapy. I try to be as happy as I can but it's monumentally difficult to forget what was done to me. Deep inside, despite my bubbly nature, you'll find a child cowering in fear and shame. I've just had to make him get up and walk if I was ever going to do something with my life. 

 

Anyway now that I've been awake for a little while I feel a lot better.

It's fine Raritas. I'm okay (mostly). I've just got a lot of stuff to take care of. But as far as the demons conquered are concerned...you might go as far as to call me Demonslayer Woona :)

 

Really, I'm miles ahead of where I was when I was 16, and I'm glad I've been able to come so far.
