Need Station ID sounds.

Hello! I have been running a server (radio, web, gaming, irc) and I upgraded my computer and now I can have Station ID's.

 

But the thing is, I am really the only one who runs this server.

 

I need your help making station ID sounds.

 

Here's a script or something:

[silence for a sec] Hello, I am [NAME] and I [THING YOU DO]. You are listening to Bronydom Radio. [silence]

 

I want it in 128kbps MP3 Format sent through any site you can.

Hey there! I saw that you haven't gotten anything yet, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not really a celebrity (someday, someday...) but I do have a nice microphone so here you go!

Yes! This is perfect! I will add this in a few moments, as I am busy right now.

 

 

I'd love to do something like this! If you want me to do in a characters' voice (Scootaloo, Rarity, Luna) I can name a few that I can do and you choose. If not I can just do my regular voice. 

You can do whatever voice you want :)

I was just wondering, how often do the Station ID's run? Like every thirty minutes or something like that?

 

 

And now I have the minimum characters.

I think every 20 minutes it inserts the Station ID into the Queue, then after the song ends, it plays. Probably every 4-5 songs. :P But, I have *a tiny bit more* variety now.

 

I'm still working out the kinks in that system, because it seems some parts of the Station ID get cut off because of the silence detection. This is why I'm gonna add a beep at the start and end of every Station ID.

I'd LOVE to do this. When I get home I'll record it. Couple questions for you though. Why 128 kps? That's a pretty low and outdated bitrate if you run a radio server. I am a composer/producer and I do 320 or higher every time I export something. You can hear a difference when it's between that and 128.

 

Regardless I'll do it in 128 if you want.

Again if you want a higher bit rate it does sound somewhat better and I exported a better quality version as well so just let me know if you want it. :)

You can do it in 320kbps, but I stream at 128kbps because of bandwidth. Streaming at 256 or higher will make me only have around 15 listeners.

Makes total sense. I didn't think about that. On my side of things (producing and composing), 128 is the devil's number and we avoid it like the plague. Hope your station does well! What kind of music do you play?

I play a variety. Most of my library is House/Dubstep/Techno, but the rest ranges from Orchestral to DnB, from Classical to Rap, etc.

Why, that's very nice of you to say! But my voice is anything but holy... lol.

 

All I did was turn up the bass on my mixer and... tada! Da magickz!
