Silver heard the red pony yell something and then speed off, then muttered to himself, "I guess that's the que'" and then shot off himself, fighting to keep up. The normally dense foliage of the forest was relatively clear on this trail, eliminating any tricky maneuvers, allowing Silver to attain his top speeds. He thought to himself, "What is going on? Who are these ponies, and why are we all here?" He had a foreboding sense that the answer was not going to be a friendly one

Manechilles took flight with a gust of dirt, disappearing up into the trees before returning and rocketing parallel to Light. He saw Blast take off at breakneck speeds and was actually impressed by how fast the earth ridden could move on hoof. It wouldn't be able to match his flight but grounded, he would prove to be a worthy adversary. He looked to Light, ignoring the others who appeared to be lagging behind. "To what destination do we travel, you who appears to know where he is going?" he shouted, the wind blowing wildly through his mane.

"Sometimes." Pacific said simply. "But I'm constantly having to travel and I can barely carry anything, so I never have books to read unless there's a library in the town I move to." He explained. He might have to explain why he traveled so much, but he didn't really care at the time.

"You travel? Cool! I've aleays wanted to go to Manehatten, have you ever been there? Are the ponies as snotty as they look?"

Cteative smiled at him. "So, is there a spacific reason why you travel? Fo uou just like the scenery or is it something else?" Creative frowned in suddon realazation. "You don't have to tell me you know."

"I-I don't know.. I feel like something is calling me, like time itself Is calling for help... And we have to answer that cry." Light said as he looked ahead. He could just see beyond the end of the Everfree forest. And what he saw shocked him. "What in Celestia's name happened?!" He shouted as he drew closer. The world was on fire. Quite literally. "Well... I guess this is a problem..." Light said as he exited the forest.

"Well I haven't been to Manehattan yet." Pacific said. "And as for the reason I travel... I don't think I should bring that up yet." He continued. "Maybe once I get to know you better I'll tell you." He finished. He hadn't really expected to get to know Creative, but he really had no choice anymore.

Silver finally caught unto the other ponies as they slowed to a halt. The first thing he notices was the fire. There was so much fire. "What could have done this?" Silver said to no one in particular. He turned to Light, saying, "Where can we go to find out more about who we are and what happened? Information seems vital right now."

Blast screeched to a halt as he saw Equestria in flames. "Oh my... Sweet Luna! Equestria! It's an inferno! How could this be??" Blast shouted. He walked before the burning fields. The grass crunched under his hooves and he was sweating from the monsterous heat.

'It appears what I had attempted to accomplish had already been done...' Manechilles thought to himself. He chuckled lightly, "So the inevitable has occurred to the earth ridden kind...can not say that I am surprised." The face upon Blast pleasured him. A sinister grin crept up his face as he watched the fires burn...but wait! "S-Storma..." Manechilles' eyes were immediately filled with shock.

"No...no...NO!" Light yelled in agony as he smashed the ground. "Who did this?! I swear to Celestia that he will pay!" Light shouted, with rage in his eyes. That's when he saw the tower. It was huge. Gig enough to be seen from thousands of miles away. "That may hold our answer, but from the looks of it, it's a thousand miles away. Hah! No problem, I'll just fly there-" Light was interrupted as he realized he couldn't fly. He couldn't even go fast. "Time... It's breaking... It took away my speed..." Light said in sheer disgust. I guess we'll have to hoof it. This may take a while" Light said.

Blast wiped some sweat off of his face and had a look of anger on his face. "We need to find whoever did this, and fast!" He exclaimed. He saw a giant tower in t distance. The same one Light saw. "So, we gotta get there? Ha! Piece of cake!" He was about jet off when he noticed that he wasn't going as fast as he normally was. "What in the world..."

"Time has shattered, and took our abilities. The only thing it hasn't took is my wisdom." Light said. "We are standing on the very brink of the edge of time, and there is only one thing we can hope to do about it, and that is to get to that tower!"

As fast as the shocking realization of his kin hit him, Manechilles watched Blast, Light, and Silver moving much...slower below him. Silently, he landed among them, not daring to breathe a word...Storma...had perished with the rest. How could that be possible? They were the mightiest of all generations: the strongest of all Pegasi. He glared at the tower, following the others without a sound.

"We can make it... We WILL make it! I refuse to believe that time is dead! And if any of you are brave enough to help me save time, than come with me. Whoever this creep is... He's gonna pay!" Light shouted as he glared toward the tower.

 

Meanwhile, the Dark Lord sat on his throne as he heard the latest news report. 4 ponies had exited the Everfree forest. "So, they dare challenge me? Killing them along with time itself will be fun" Said the Dark Lord as he smirked.

Sweat began to run down Blast's face as he continued through the wasteland that was once Equestria. He noticed that Marechilles had been terribly quiet. "Maybe he decided to shut his trap about earth ponies for two minutes." Blast thought. "Man, this sucks. How much longer until we reach the tower, Light?"

"We made it out of the forest. We need to rest for now." Light said as he laid down on the burnt grass. "All of you, get some rest for the night. I will talk to you all in the morning." He said as he began to drift off into sleep. (Maybe this will make temporary peace.) Light thought as he blacked out.

Manechilles breathed in the flames of despair as he watched the others lay to rest. He sat with a thud as he looked onward towards the tower. What force could have defeated his brethren? His honor could no longer be regained. The images of Storma falling to the fires of war ensued chaos within his mind. No. This couldn't be right...but why should he care. He was banished and spurned, never to return. Nothing remained. Manechilles looked to the others as they slept almost peacefully. What were friends to him?...nothing. They were peons in the art of war and might. Returning his gaze towards the tower, he stood proudly and quietly. Suddenly, he rose, flexing the sinews in his muscles briefly. Whatever awaited him, the might of his blood would conquer it all. The proud pegasus grinned with ambitious desire as he faded into the fire consumed land.

Zycrin had been following silently behind, listening in on every conversation had been going on. It seemed everyone had almost forgotten he was there, yet alone eves dropping on there conversations. He saw the world in flames, and he was not very happy. Zycrins mental state made him need to kill or he will end up kill himself. So if everyone is dead, who was he going to kill. Then he got an idea.

Light Streak awoke quickly. Something was wrong. "Wh-Where's Manechilles? Oh, Celestia, he's run off! I've got to find him!" Light looked over at Blast and nodded. But Light felt something. Like somepony was watching him. He spun around and saw Zycrin. "You! Can you help us? Follow me if you are gonna!" Light shouted as he turned to face Blast.

Blast slowly got up. "Well, that was itchy..." He got up to see Manechilles out of sight. "Guess the guy ran off on his own. That's fine. The guy seemed like he was capable enough of protecting himself." He turned to where Light was looking and saw Zycrin. "Oh no. Not this guy again. And here, of all places." Blast thought.

"We can't worry about him right now. Time is counting on our little band of heroes." Light said confidently. "But we need a name. When we take down what caused this, we'll be known as... As..." Light stuttered, looking at his cuts. "The Heroes of Time!" Light shouted. "Follow me, Blast. We have a world to save." Said Light as he started running off.

Blast folded his arms. "Okay, even I'm not that quick to reacting to problems. I'm going to wait for the group. We already left two of them in the forest, and now Manechilles is gone. We have to take a moment to regroup. We'll never be able to defeat this force with just two of us."

"As much as I don't want to admit it, you're right. I don't know what got into me. Something about that tower disturbs me..." Light said. Suddenly, Light grabbed his head. "Ahh!" Light shouted as he fell on the ground. Light's eyes went white. "I-I see things... They're coming... Here... Now..." Light moaned with his eyes white as snow, in a trance-like state.

The path to the tower was surprising easy to travel through, almost as easy as nothing had happen. He had arrived so quickly...unnaturally quickly. Manechilles had scaled so much land. There was so many things that could have went wrong on his journey there. He wasn't even attacked...all this puzzled the stallion. Something was at work here. The very size of the tower set him at awe. Never before had he seen such a structure in all the land. The pure evil presence seemed to strike the life out of all around him. Eyes blazing with fire, Manechilles' voice gallantly boomed up at the tower, "Present thyself unto me ye who rules the mighty tower so that I might bring vengeance upon you!" Ironically, his intentions weren't to attack the ruler at all. He wanted answers.

Meanwhile, the Dark Lord looked out his window and saw a pony. This pony asked him who he was. "Ha! Impudent fool! You know who I am! I am the Dark Lord, ruler of this empire! You are nothing to me! Wait... I know you. Manechilles, is it? Ha! You're probably looking for your friend, correct? Killing him was fun. I looked into the eyes of that pony when it died. Oh, the look on your face when I banished you to the Everfree!" The Dark Lord shouted.

This puzzled Manechilles even more...but he found out some information; however he was not yet satisfied. "Your tongue is like that of a snake! A friend I have never had! They are but useless when war consumes all!" He was beginning to get irritated. "I remember nothing of this pony you speak of! Also, how does one come by my name? You have play in this game I suspect?
