Are there any actors here?

Is anyone here an actor/actress? I've done a few plays. I got (literally, not joking) the smallest part in the play 3 times in a row so I stopped. I'm considering doing the school play this year.

Does anyone here act? What have you been in?

I act. Was in a few plays when I was a pre-teen/teenager. Got the lead role in Alladin (As Alladin...not as the Genie), and I was in a bunch of other things. As of late, I've been more into radio production and things like that so I'm trying to get into that at my college. My advice, go for it. You can't win if ya don't play the game.

ME!!!! I've been in theater all throughout middle school and during freshmen year. Gonna participate this year too  I love theater so I try to be in after school plays as well as in actual class plays. It's fun and I get to express myself that way too.

The plays that I can remember off the top of my head are Snow White, I Never Saw Another Butterfly which is a Holocaust play, The Emperor's New Clothes, and a 9/11 play. The rest were just short scenes we performed during class.

Oh and I'm trying to get involved in voice acting these days. It's fun too cause I get to finally put all of my accent imitations to good use

Absolutely! For my last three roles, two of them involved me playing an old lady, and the third I had to wear a gigantic caterpillar costume. My biggest role was when we did Anne of green gables, I played Marilla.

In hindsight, this summer I worked as a Military Drummer in Les Compagnies Franches De Les Marines (1744). I wore a very heavy, very uncomfortable 18th Century military uniform. I still miss my wonderful, 16 pound wool coat  :(

Anyway, I guess it was sort of like acting. I pretended I was someone from the 18th Century and I talked to visitors about life in the French Military in the 1700s.

I've taken drama classes in my old school for about three years and a half. Acted in a total of four plays, in which one of them I was the main protagonist. :3

I don't know if I could consider myself an "actress", but I really really really love to act! And I wish that was a career I could follow~

Yep. Even have an IMDB entry of all of one item: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1433711/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Well, and the music video, but it's the back of my head.

For that matter so was the movie part. Huh.

I was filmed for a dozen or so other projects, but none of them made it past editing. At least, so I was told.

I normally do improv acting with a troupe of street performers. Did several plays, but as secondary characters. I'm not exactly lead material and normally do the narrator or MC parts as appropriate.

I have been in some plays at my school in Middle as well as High School. Some were small parts and others were kinda big. I played Wesley in a school adaptation of the princess bride. I also played the Prince in Cinderella.

I now do more impromptu stuff but wish to be discovered and become a paid actor

Heck yeah. I was in four plays at my high school, and I've been in one thus far in college.

I was background in the Music Man, Harvey Johnson in Bye Bye Birdie, Lloyd in Noises Off, Drake in Annie, and now I'm in college... I was background for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I have no complaints though. It was fun being background again.

I'm an actor. It's tough to make a living but I love it. Do as many school productions as you can and make as many theatre connections as you can while you're at it, because once you're out there trying to get parts in "real world" plays there is a lot of competition and it helps to have friends.

I enjoy acting, even if i am not in drama at school due to loving band more. But drama would be a backup for a fun thing afterschool to do if i didn't love band so much.

I did a few plays in homeschool group with a group that helped set up and put on plays, nothing that was actually well known plays actually, but it was fun, and taught me some stuff i guess about acting.

I have done random acting stuff for skits and stuff, along with a few different skits i've done at Church and other places.

It also helps if i try to think of acting when speaking in front of the class, because despite being uncomfortable speaking in front of people, i don't really have an issue acting in front of others directly.

So i just read dramatically ;p.

But i am not involved in drama actively, i don't really have time, or know if i'd want to, but i do enjoy it on the more uncommon occasions i can do something.
