movies/tv Favorite Disney short?

So I was just going through youtube and watching some clips and remembered all the disney shorts that they do (like pixar/disney) do right before the movie...

My favorites so far are

Paper man.

The blue umbrella

and La Luna.

Idk why I thought about these but disney pixar shorts are some of the best shorts I seen in my life....

OH OH the  one where the guy plays chess against himself.. .

SO what's your favorite?

Gotta agree with Paperman. It was visually impressive (integrating 2D models and drawings in 3D environments) with really great music (I have it on my iPod :3) and simply satisfying to watch. It screams Disney, is what it does. It might be the fact that the woman looks like she could be a Disney princess, or the sequence of the soundtrack, or maybe the fantastical element behind it (sentient paper planes? Teapot all over again!).

The shorts should always be a thing. Geri's Game, Paper Man, Boundin', For The Birds....all great. I really liked the concept of The Blue Umbrella quite a lot, especially since most of the things that happened in that one didn't look like any sort of supernatural yet it still had so much emotion and personality.

There's also quite a few indie animations out there that are very high quality, to the point you would almost mistake them of being a Disney short if you didn't know any better. Stuff like Crayon Dragon or Zero in particular.

Crayon Dragon's characters almost look Disney-inspired. The girl reminds me of Jane from Tarzan.

And you know what's most horrible about Paper Man? Disney refuses to make any more full-length movies like that. They've been doing the Pixar animation stuff for a long time now and they've all but fazed out 2D animations. Princess and the Frog was the last movie they did in that style but it's very obvious in Paperman that they are animation innovators as much as they've always been. Paperman should be the future of animation, not be relegated to seven minute shorts before a Pixar animation!

Geri's game and Blue Umbrella, hell, gotta love those! I love these kind of shorts because heck, they make you THINK about it, sometimes the movie starts and I'm still thinking about the short xD I definitely like pixar style.. btw, have you guys heard about The Pixar Theory? you know, the one that states all the pixar movies are somehow connected

If you get any chance to read that article, you'll see how this guy shows how all the movies are connected... It's pretty crazy, but hey, it is a possibility and it does make sense... in most parts xD

Paperman, easily. People know my obsession with it is unmatched. I even changed my name on a few sites to Meg or Meg and George to commemorate it, haha.

The classic Mickey Mouse cartoons will be in a special place in my heart, The Runaway Brain was pretty good, love most of the Pixar shorts (except for the new Toy Story ones and Cars Toons), Paperman was a fascinating short, you gotta love Winnie the Pooh, and the Goofy's "How to" series always gets a kick out of me.

Paperman is the most overrated thing in ever and screw what anyone else thinks. The story is... fine. That's it. The setting is bland, the characters are also bland. The animation is nice, but much of the visual prettiness comes from software magics, so whatevs.

That's my opinion, and I'm stickin' with it. EAqtS.png

Can't believe it beat those other fantastic films at the Oscars...

You know what's cool, though? This:

It's technically not out yet, but I got to watch it a little early at Annecy Animation Festival, and it's pretty awesome. I also got to see a bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff with Eric Goldberg talking, so that was also pretty awesome.

The Paperman was cute. As for the "non-computer animated cartoons", in all honesty i wasnt overly fond about the disney cartoons, and thats because they werent as funny as the Looney Tunes.

I think we can all agree that Paperman was pretty magnificent. There was another one that I forgot the name of, I believe it was at the end of Robin Hood though, I used to love that one as a child.

My favorite would definitely be Paperman. The style used to combine CGI with traditional animation looks stunning, and the score is beautiful. I would definitely like to see more things in this style of animation. It combines what I love about 2D animation with all the cool things you can do with 3D animation.

Luckily, Disney released a short during Big Hero 6 called Feast which uses the same animation technique as Paperman. This short is equally stunning, perhaps more so than Paperman, and is one of my favorites as well. I love the way they tell a story in the background. It really is worth checking out if you haven't seen it already.

The Blue Umbrella was really cool too. I like how they made faces out of everyday objects; specifically since that's something I do as well.

You took the words right out of my mouth, eheh.

Paperman is my absolute favorite short, but I saw Feast in the theaters and teared up a bit when I watched it.

The Blue Umbrella was another good one.

I also liked Day & Night, which premiered with Frozen. It wasn't one of the best, but I still very much liked the concept of it.

My favourite is Feast. It premiered along with Big Hero 6. Feast is about a puppy with an appetite for junk food, as well as the relationship between his owner and a woman. It's both cute and funny, as well as having a really pretty art style.

Can we talk about the new Mickey Mouse shorts? Because I think they're hysterical. (With Yodelberg or Panda-monium being my personal favorite)
