"Alright lass, do tell what's going on. I go hunting for 10 minutes and everyones gone crazy."

The words began to intesify in his mind "AFRAID, AFRAID, TOO AFRAID TO TELL THEM! SCARED WEAK, HELPLESS!"

Rain began to limp over, checking to see if Six was following her. "C'mon! Who's gonna help me up if I fall over?" she teased.

When she saw Boots approaching her grimly, her smile faded. She could hear Shadow's nonsensical ramblings.

"I-I honestly don't know," she said. "We had a talk earlier about him and then...Discord came and I broke my leg, and Strong was helping me make a splint. Shadow went in the trees, I thought he wanted some time alone, but I heard you guys talking and I got a bit worried." She peered over his shoulder. "What's going on, Shadow?" she asked sharply.

"Basically, he was trained by Luna to have black magic, and had an encounter with Discord. Now hes a little paranoid about everything..."

Boots pupils shrink and sweat beads appear on his forhead.

 

"Discord. discord....."

 

Boots looks down at his hooves.

 

"Well I guess I'd better go prepare my girls...."

 

Boots wanders off.

Rain blew a stray piece of mane off her head. "Thanks for saving me there, Twister," she said gratefully.

She turned to Shadow. "Now what do you mean by 'not ourselves'?" She shot Twister a worried glance. "Do you think that Discord hypontized us?"

"He could be controlling you all, in your m-minds! I dont know what happend in that fog! you could be c-corrupted!' he said meekly

"We're not being controlled by Discord, Shadow! Remember? You used your magic to protect us!" said Rain, looking deep into his eyes. He turned away, and she grabbed his face and turned it towards her, almost falling over. "Remember us, Shadow?"

"Y-you want me-me to rest up? REST UP? THATS WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO? you could hurt me at that time! BESIDES, THE REAL YOU SHOULD KNOW IMMORTALS DONT SLEEP!

After boots made sure he was out of site he pulls his back pack off.

Boots pulls out a long contraption, he procides to strap it to various parts of his body. after finishing installing it his body was conpletly covererd in leather straps with blades all over his wings and tail. Boots returns to the rest of the group.

Twister turned to Rain, and let out a sigh.

 

"I don't think just talking will convince him, Rain... what can we do?"

Boots strode in and Rain turned, relieved. "Oh thank Celestia he won't lis-" Rain stopped when she saw the weapons, looking slightly bemused. "Um...well...maybe you should try."

*Riza was going through her herbs and noticed something was missing.*

"Umm, was did somepony take some herbs? Im missing some things. Dangerous things." *She emphasized.*

Six was suddenly agitated by Shadow's ramblings, in an unexpected, and quite loud outburst, he yelled, "DAGNABIT GET A HOLD OF YERSELF!!!! WE AINT ANY DIFFERENT FROM THE START AND WE AINT GONNA CHANGE NOW!!! NOW QUIT YER YAMMERIN YER GIVIN ME A HEADACHE!!!!" realizing his outburst, Six went back to looking at the ground

Shadow was flying in circles. Six's outburst stopped Shadow in his tracks, his voice was calmer "who would of known, Discord could destroy me with a simple statement" and with that he fell, plummeted to the ground and hit it with force.

Everyone was staring at Six and Shadow, when suddenly Rain crashed to the ground and began to wildly writhe about in anguish.

Boots normally Blue eys have changed to a deep green. he walked over to were shadow had landed.

 

"Do get up, I have no use for insane ponies unable to controll their powers"

Six heard Shadow hit the ground, and looked up to see if he was still moving, but not wanting to leave Rain's side...

*Riza saw Rain writhing on the ground.*

"Ohnoohnoohno!"

*Riza grabbed a bright green flower and ran over to Rain.*

"Eat this, quickly!"

*Riza placed the flower in front of Rain.*

(FYI, this herb causes the one who eats it to throw up anything they had eaten in the past 12 hours. Its use is to purge the body of ingested poisons, like the one that Rain ate accidentally.)

Rains eyes were wide open and filled with pain as she licked up the herb. "Thank...you!" she said hoarsely before vomiting violently and passing out.

Shadow laid there frozen in fear, not breathing. His thoughts finally subsided "sissiors eh?" he thought, "I wish I could keep the insanity back but once again its been my downfall.....Well i hope i dont eat that, nothing will happen, they will think im dead...."
