"How about you ask her what see saw, while she was up in that tree." he said with a smirk "her spying on me is getting to be quite a pain though."

Rain was busy looking after Riza with Six, so she didn't hear Shadow's comments.

"Is she gonna be okay?" she asked Six worriedly. Her blue eyes were fearful, and she kept glancing down at the unconscious victim.

"Shadow..." she whispered, so no one else could hear. "I bet he's the one who did this!"

suddenly the red pupil on the paper burst into flames, but the rest of the paper was intact

Rain saw the flames and was over in a flash, stomping on them with her hard hooves in order to protect the rest of the paper.

"What is going on?!" she asked, and looked pointedly at Shadow.

the flame did not go out, instead it got brighter

Shadow heard rain first comment "Oh please, Me? you think i did this to the griffion? I know I resent them because of the war but i wo.......Ive said too much"

 

"Get OFF the paper NOW!" he telled "Its dangerous!"

"What did you do, Shadow?" asked Rain forcefully. "I saw what you did out there, and I'm not afraid to tell anypony else." She paused. "Wait. You were in the Griffin War? But that would mean..." She looked at him carefully.

"I think you have some explaining to do," she said coldly, stepping away from the paper.

Rain acted quickly, slamming her body against Shadow's and shoving him out of the way. "EVERYPONY GET DOWN NOW!" she screamed, trying her best to be brave even as her voice shook.

Shadow stood there "COME ON! HIT ME!" he exclaimed he pushed rain down and put shields over the ponies. With a large smile on his face.

Raindancer ducked beneath the shield. "WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?" she screamed at him. "YOU NEED TO TELL US WHAT YOU KNOW NOW IF WE'RE GOING TO GET OUT OF THIS ALIVE!"

laughter was heard then a bright flash of light happened, when they could see again they were at a completely different campsite and it was morning, inside one of the tents was a book

Twister saw the paper float up int he air.

"AH! Better get outta the way!" He hid inside a bush. "This paper isn't normal! I don't understand!"

 

After the flash, there was confusion.

"Huh? Its morning? What the heck happened..."

Rain was on her feet instantly, and grabbed the book. The language wasn't anything she understood.

"Everyone get up! We need to establish where we are and how we got here. Six, you keep looking after Riza," she instructed. "I'd like to have a talk with Shadow right now. Everypony else, if you're okay, try to decipher...well whatever this thing is." She placed the book on the ground again.

the words instantly re scrambled back into a readable format, it was a journal from a member of the first rescue party

She then turned to Shadow. "I think you owe me an explanation." She beckoned him to the shade beneath a tree and sat down to wait for him.
