Surprised no one's mentioned "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago?" yet. I had some very intriguing experiences with that game. And The Cluefinders was the shiz back in the day, along with Logical Journey of the Zoombinis.

I remember the Carmen Sandiego games so much... I had the USA version, and the game got harder and harder as more and more cases were solved. I never finished the game when I was younger because it was so hard.

(Sorry for reviving thread lol. I was busy with school and didn't have time to respond to threads)

I played many, but the only one whose name I remember is this

amazing%20animals%20software.jpg

I had others, but those where computer encyclopedias and not games, but I enjoyed those too

Oh my god... I remember watching those movies and playing demos of that game! I heard that they were great educational games! What were they like as a kid?

Zoombinis (I think that's how you spell it), no questions asked. I just loved that game so much, even when there were parts that I didn't quite understand.

"Live and die by the blade." - Talon, The Blade's Shadow (League Of Legends)

Temporary signature by DokiLoki (I hope I spelled that right)

That game was awesome. I had one of their most recent games, and it was extremely educational. Taught a good bit about science and logic.

This. (Fourteen years older and I'd now take it for a horror game with those glaring eyes.)

Learning Land was the bomb for me! There were 58 CD's that were released one after the other, and me and my brother bought every single one. So much fun. When you had completed the challenges for a particular disc, you'd get a jigsaw piece; complete four discs and you complete a puzzle. Man, that was our biggest sense of achievement at those less-than-five-years-old ages.

When I got a bit older, though, we progressed onto this much harder but still fun game (I remember playing the versions two years ahead of my current year)

I still remember the opening jingle. Gosh, that too was great fun. I think I'm going to see if there are any Youtube clips of this classic.

Does anyone here remember any of the "I love _____" series from DK? I had the Science one, the Spelling one, and the Math one. I haven't found anything from Youtube, and I was wondering if you guys used to own those games.

Off the top of my head, I played the Jump Start games, Clue Finders, Carmen Sandiego(Where in Time is probably the best), most of the Humongous Entertainment Games, Magic School Bus....

If I may go just a little off topic, now a days my favorite educational game happens to be the Texas Speak and Spell bought for a project which I got from Ebay (never had or knew about them as a kid). The games are easy but it holds a cerain retro chic about them for some reason

I didn't know that I only had the maths one: pretty sure my teacher bought it for me I think.

Wasn't there some girl in it who screamed she hated maths or something at the start of the maths one?

I barely remember the details of that, but maybe you're right. The memory does serve me in that regard. Those DK games were so much fun. DK also had another educational game where you get to go around the world.

Pretty much every Humongous Entertainment series.

Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Freddi Fish... Spy Fox was my favorite.

There was one I played, that I didn't like. At all.

This one.
