I want to ask, what was the saddest thing you saw on your favourite childhood shows?

Mine was from a show called The Trapdoor on the final episode when Rogg dies, it to this day is the saddest thing I seen.

even though Rogg is perfectly alive, its still sad

Hmmm...well this wasn't part of my childhood but this moment was sad. I was watching an anime called Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (or Rumbling Hearts) and this anime was the most emotional one I've ever watched but anyhow, in episode 14 somewhere near the end where two of the main characters named Takayuki & Haruka when they would part from each other. This scene made me go into tears because I could relate so much to it. I remembered so many times that I had to let go of something that I still loved but didn't truly love back. It was saddest moment I've ever seen in my whole life time from watching anime. smile.png

When the original Pokemon show was around (Aka, when the show was still good), there were two moments where I was in tears:

When Butterfree left forever (Not even kidding, I kept saying "Butterfree's going to come back" over and over)

And when Ash said it was for the best if Pikachu stayed with his own kind

I cant think of a television show where I actually was sad from, but I remember being sad from a cartoon movie. One scene that always crushed me was from the movie The Land Before Time, and the mother of Littlefoot dies... It always teared me up

Well... I'm going to say this:

It was the best quality I could find, sadly.

Anyway, this was really depressing to me...I don't even need to say why..

Oh my Celestia... I completely forgot about that. I still cry about that sometimes, just knowing that he's never coming back... (I still really like that show)

Oh this one is easy

Any time in the Pokemon anime where a major character's pokemon is released. Like Ash's Butterfee, Pikachu (not really), Charizard, Squirtle, and don't even get me started on Arbok and Weezing. The thought of it just makes me sad.png

- Wizardmon's death

- Ash frees Butterfree

- Anytime Ash set free his Pokemon

- Ash Turns to stone

- Vegeta's death(both times)

- Goku's second death

- The ending to Digimon Adventure 1

- Steve leaves for College

- Gray Fox's death(I was too young for MGS, but he was so awesomesad.png )

Remember David the Gnome?  Yeah, that quirky little cartoon about a gnome doctor who taught kids about nature, had those humorous characters in it, was charming, colorful, and had one of the catchiest theme songs for a cartoon geared toward little kids.

This song is so memorable that it's on my top 10 favorite cartoon theme songs of all time.

Well, I bet most people didn't expect a show like this to have a sad ending.  But it does, and oh how it does.

If you were a kid watching this and you cried, you weren't alone.  Everyone that knew about this show was crushed.
