Fireblaze shock seeing Dark took the Elements form Blast and now this going to be worst for them. “Daughter this going to get Ugly, I want you take your friends to my mountain home and stay there until the danger is over. there a Spy glass in there too and it will help you see the battles. Me, Rainbow Dash will be ok if we make it and if not then you are the next future of Element of Harmory too.”

When Dark took the elements' power from Blast, color returned to all of them. He then watched as dark made off back to the Master with a teleportation spell.

"No! The elements!" When Dark made his escape, he pounded his hoof to the ground and fell. "Now what are we going to do? We don't have much time left."

"There's always a way." Said Light. "You'll have to beat the sentinels of evil." Said Light with sadness in his voice.

 

Back at his citadel, Dark called the villains together. "Now," he declared, "I will make these elements yours." He said, giving Sombra, the Master, and 4 other guards the elements, which were now corrupted to the dark power of evil. "The heroes stand no chance." Remarked Dark.

Light let a tear escape. In all his life, he never heard something so sad. "I am so sorry..." Said. Light. "I had no idea whatsoever that you had to go through this..." Said Light. He brightened up a bit. He asked a question to Icarus. "How would you like to be made new again?" He asked.

"I actually, would prefer to stay this way. It is what has gotten me up to this point, it is what allows me to survive, and it is what drives me. If I hadent had changed, I would have never saved Stalliongrad, nor the many other lives I have in my travels. For better, or for worse, I need to stay like this. Perhaps, there will be a time for reformation, but not now" Icarus nodded his head in appreciation.

Blast heard what Light said and he raised his head. What are these sentinels of evil? He turned his head to Icarus and Light.
"Well, guys, looks like we've got some trouble. If these sentinels of evil have the elements, I'll need your help to get them all back. No doubt that they will abuse the elements' powers."

"I'm no hero..." Said Light, "I've been a failure since the very beginning... Twilight, Fluttershy, and others wouldn't be dead if it wasn't for me..." Said Light, putting his head in his hooves. "I can give you a clue as to where to go... Look for the dark towers... They should be obvious, a sentinel lies at each one." Cried Light, his head still between his hooves.

"I know it's what they would want, but how many more lives will I put in danger just because I decided to be dumb?" Asked Light. "Many assume that what I do is externally motivated, but no, I'm internally motivated, and my steam has ran out." Said Light. He froze. He just felt as though he couldn't move. "Gragh!" Moaned Light in pain, grabbing his side. This discordation was killing him. "Ow... Ow..." He moaned. He was changing. His body went from grey to black, a sign of his oncoming demise. "Please... Somepony... Save me..." He moaned, falling to the ground with a look on his face that resembled a mix of horror and fear.

Icarus Immediately got hold of Light, and  Held him straight. He thought for a second. 

 

I don't know how to fix this, it seems to be more mental than anything.

 

He mulled it over for a few more seconds, then thought of something horrifying.

 

It's possible I could sacrifice part of my personality to save him, but that means drifting farther into the dark abyss that I am already in.... Would it even save him ?

 

And at that thought Icarus for once, let a single tear roll down his cheek, and he attempted to make a decision.\

 

Hmm, no time for that kind of thought.

 

The first thing he did was give Light one of his healing potions, helping the wounded Stallion take down the dark green fluid.

"You, quickly, Light needs your help, or he is going to die" He yelled to her.

Light drank the potion to no avail, it just made his situation worse. He moaned, and he saw a green flame begin to form around him. "I'm so sorry..." Said Light. "I appears to be disappearing from reality. Don't worry, you'll still remember me, but it will be as if I never existed to anypony else." Moaned Light.

Light kept stumbling from his standing until he could bear it no more. He collapsed, and looked up with a look of horror on his face. The flame was engulfing him, and his tail began to disappear. "Good bye..." He whispered, as his hooves disappeared. Next, his cutie mark and flank disappeared, until he was nearly gone, but still there by a thread.

Blast ran over to the disappearing Light and held out his hoof to him, tears pouring from his eyes.

"Light, no! Please, don't go!" Blast exclaimed. "We were gonna do so much together! We were gonna save Equestria once again! We were like, the ultimate duo!" He shouted.

Ambrose called to Light "no, you can't leave us, we still need, I still need you." She said. Light had led this group for so long getting them through the hardships, and now he was leaving them. She had one last ditch healing spell to try and save him , it would help with the depression and other problems. She drained her magic reserves and wrapped what was left of Light in a cocoon of healing energy. Ambrose fell unconscious her last thoughts praying or Light I be saved. Tears began to roll down her face.

Light was still able to talk. "I- It would take a regeneration... To bring me back..." Said Light, still hanging on. "And... I don't want to go..." Said Light, fighting back his self being erased from time. "But... Is it worth it to use up a whole regeneration... Just to save myself?" Asked Light.

Ambrose shouted instantly "Yes light please come back to us, we need you." She said through her tears. The mission to stop Sombra would stop if Light died. She wouldn't be able to go on. "Light please use a regeneration, to help all of us" she was afraid he would say no.

Light looked up. "Alright..." He whispered. Light raised his remaining hoof, which now glowed orange, fire began to erupt from it, and the flames creeped up his body, until his head was engulfed in flames. He shouted in pain as he changed, until finally, he landed on the ground, asleep from exhaustion.

Ambrose ran over and cradled his head in her arms. "Icarus, will he be okay?" She called her tears dripped onto lights face. She hope he would be okay, it would be devastating for the group and her if he died. "Light, please come back to us". She begged. She leaned down an kissed him again .

Light moaned and looked up. He looked at his new body. "Wow." He said. He was now an Earth Pony, with an orange coat and red mane with blue eyes. He was glowing all over, as well. "Sweet Luna, look at this." Said Light, still inspecting himself. "Ambrose..." He said. He moved up and kissed her. She was one of his last reasons to be, and now, it was time to take a stand.

"He just went trough a massive cellular regeneration, he should be fine, but he needs to rest, and get protein" 

 

Icarus walked over to Light, and nudged Ambrose, a simple notion for her to move.

 

"I need to check his vitals to be sure though, hopefully they are all good" Icarus said.
