The New Elements

 

RP Thread

Many years have passed from the time when the last of the Elements of Harmony have died out, Princess Twilight committing suicide after all of her friends had passed. Now under the threat of a takeover by the alicorn known as Lilith, the Elements of Harmony have been reforged into all new elements, ones that need new bearers to stop this threat. You have been called to the palace to receive these new elements, for Celestia has been watching your movements from her planar realm. You are the new heroes of Equestria.

Rules!

- No god modding. Seriously, don't do it.
- No "controlled substances"
- No Mary Sues. I shouldn't have to tell ya'll this.
- No clop. You can have a time skip or something, and imply what their doing.
- No "sexual relations" without the owner of that OCs consent.
- DO NOT control other people's OCs without their permission.
- Because we're all on the same side, don't kill one another.
- No overly powerful magic. There is no element of magic so that con't be your excuse.
- For the love of Celestia, no plot twists without the DM's (my) or the co-DM's (Alex Kennedy) permission
- Generally all races are accepted.
- I reserve the right to reject characters.
- Use proper spelling and such. Slight errors are allowed in grammar.
- Be reliable. I get it, life. I know you may not be able to tell me every time, but explain your absence and where your character has been.
- I have the right to add more rules.

I can give this a go. My OC, despite having a backstory, isn't exactly rooted anywhere in the MLP timeline, and as I put, his story can be altered anywhere for RP convenience.

If there's still room I'd like to join with my OC Lila Fire Heart (signature, and changes can be made people have had problems with her in the past even though she's been balanced [maybe not perfectly] but by no means OP). Possibly as Element of Calmness or Perseverance.

I hope this one turns out good, there's been a lack of decent RPs lately. And honestly the DMs don't seem very good either (all though you seem to have a good head on your shoulders) and lack the experience and grit to run one. Or is that just me?

No, you're right. Only about a quarter of the RPs I've joined turn out to be actually decent, the rest just turn to shit because of lazy and/or inexperienced DMs and/or RPers. And then they die. It doesn't always depend on the RP and the DM. Sometimes inexperienced RPers can make a RP less decent. It's happened to me before.

Fortunately, my OC is definitely neither of those things.

 

Oh, and I agree about what you said about the RPs on here, too. I, however, have been DMing a long time, and I have faith in Minath to do a good job under my guidance.

 

...By the way, I do actually exist. I'm not just a figment of Minath's imagination. I thought I should clear that up since I haven't had cause to post yet.

 

And before I forget, a warning for those of you who aren't familar with our characters: Minath and Rambler are romanitically involved. There are two reasons this is important to note: Firstly, don't get any ideas- I'm watching you. Secondly, you can expect the occasional vomit-inducing lovey-dovey exchange between us. If it gets to be an issue that it's taking over the roleplay, please say something and I'll try to reign it in.

Hello hello. Fair Sir Kennedy has led me here (teehee), and I'd like to snag the spot of Perseverance, if at all possible. I will be using either Vindicta (unlikely because of the whole dragon thing) or an OC I am working on right now, Hallows. Both fit the role just fine, IMO.

Would a golem be okay? I.e, a pony-made sentient creature? She's not necessarily alive because she's made of earthen materials, but I think it'd be nice to use her if at all possible (such as if I am accepted, first off, haha).

I think this might be a good time to point out that Minath has a tendency to disappear from the forums for days at a time. Once things get going, I should be able to keep it moving in her stead while she's away, but for now I can only ask that everyone be patient.

Dangit. Sorry guys, AK is right. I do disappear for a while on a regular basis, but that's why I have AK co-DMing for me. If you want to revise your submissions due to a "woefully incompetent DM" then I understand. Back to the matter at hand.
