Thanks everypony for the sheer number of posts. I'm glad to know your all contributing. Now that we're into the Roleplay I'm figuring out what everyone is enjoying and what problems I should troubleshoot. Currently, the biggest problem seems to be the introduction of conflict. I've introduced one problem already and everybody returned to slice-of-life chatting just as soon as it was over. To actually get some progress done, I'm going to try giving everybody a brief synopsis of the scenario they are in at any given time, as well as the goals they are expected to reach, their limitations and next plot detail to consider afterwards. I am hoping this will work and that it won't limit anypony's fun.

 

(AND, if I learn that DMs are obviously meant to be doing this, remember that I'm still learning here.)

A useless post? There is no such thing as this. A post is never useless. I see guests appear on our RP thread to read a story about pirate ponies. If someone were to do something, and then go do something else completely different, they get lost. But if you post something that tells them how it happened, then they won't get confused. NEVER say your post is useless. This is how stories play out. Not everything, or everyone is going to do something amazing. Like for example, i posted my pony falling off of the crows nest on the ship, that's not useless, it's funny. So please everyone, never say your post is useless.

I said pointless, not useless. By pointless I mean I have no idea where I'm going with it so there's not much of a point to what I'm writing...I'm just...writing.

... I have never seen an OC like this before. I can't imagine how you'll want to introduce such a character to the Roleplay, but you're welcome to try. 

 

In response to your other question, I was assuming that the roleplayers would tell the rest of us when they used their plot twists, but I am keeping track just in case. I already know who has what plot twist, and after they use it I'll make a note for everypony to see.

 

Also, you're position will be Master Gunner, after you convince Razor Sharp that recruiting you won't be a big mistake.

Role Call

 

A number of ponies seem to have disappeared from the roleplay. If I don't hear from them soon I might have to assume they drowned in the ocean (or something) and reopen their positions to other players who want to join. 

 

Gloomfury and Cascade Swirl seem absent altogether and I'm not sure why.

 

Driz (who plays as Amber Vox) has mentioned they would be out for a while, so Amber Vox will stay a while longer. 

 

Sayaka Maizono (who plays as Shyla) has mentioned swapping out their character for another but they haven't gotten back on that.

 

I'm going to sleep on this Roleplay and decide if I want to continue it or not. It was fun experimenting and deciding if I could get my cutie mark in roleplaying or not. In any case, thanks everypony who joined and posted. It has been strangely amusing.

FAVORITE ROLEPLAY! THIS IS CHAOS!

Sorry for the melodrama. I write seriously and having characters that jump out of control left and right is wwwaaaaaaaayyyyy out of my comfort zone. Actually... it is good exercise for my Aspergers brain. Right now, I'm simply trying to grasp the reality of what I find myself dealing with.
