Would you change the opening song?

The title makes the question very simple. If you could, would you have the song that plays at the beginning of every MLP: FiM episode? The two choices I have are, Normal, or have it changed to the Equestria Girls one? I started watching Equestria Girls on my TV, and I LOVE the song! Just the music and the way it plays! It's more enjoyable to me. If I could, I'd have that be the song! Maybe a little switch? Some episodes, it's the normal song, then some others, it's the Equestria Girls one? (It would have changes at the end though, so the Human parts aren't there) Anyone agree with me on this? Thoughts?

I would probably change the opening theme song, if the change is needed. So, yes I would change the opening song to something fresh and new.

Wouldn't mind if change it up a bit. Like already done changes to it before like replacing some background pony's walking around in the opening team. so why not, i would say is abut time. So i wouldn't mind it.

I would tweak it just a bit. Some of the singing voices don't sound like the voices in the show and that kinda irritates me. I would also make the bass more prominent for something that is more introductory and less sing-songy.

I would change the theme song, not for hating the old one or anything, but because the show does need something fresh. Having almost the same theme song for 3 seasons was just enough.

I don't know how much I would alter it though. Maybe remix (but good one), or an eternally new song, but again, something written good.

I'm not too fond about the EQG one, it's so techno... I prefer the original a lot more before this "remix" thingy. I'm not much into techno/dubstep/electronic-music myself.

Good god yes. I hate when shows keep the same song and opening even when they have multiple seasons. It barely evolves with the show and in a lot of ways restricts the show as well by keeping the theme within the confines of the opening itself.

 

For some shows it works. The Simpsons, for example, never changed their opening but they never needed to.

 

You could say MLP is one of these types of shows but considering the rate at which they are improving the writing and production values of the show I really think they need to use something different entirely.

 

Plus the current opening gets annoying after listening to it a few thousand times.

Actually, the original theme song makes me cringe a little every time I hear it. In fact, If I was in charge of the Season 4 theme tune, It's be the exact same tune, With no vocals and electric guitar. I can hear it solidly in my head and I reckon it'd work really well!

I hate the opening song LOL.  I would cut out the opening entirely and just pop right into the episode.

 

The only opening i really watch over and over again is the one from gravity falls just cause it's funny seeing stann run with a cash register.

But if it had to be changed, it should be changed to Tay Zonday's version of the song. EPICNESS! But for now, I think changing the vocals of the Mane 6 would be a good idea as currently they sound nothing like the actual characters. Maybe do something special and do a version with all 4 actors singing, including Tara Strong?
