But aside from my most common statement of NMM, I would love to see Discord again. I am currently on the fence regarding whether or not the treatment of Discord was fair. In order for me to consider Celestia's actions 100% just, I need proof to see that Discord is still allowed to be chaotic. Until I see him being treated as Chaotic Good, as opposed to being forced into Order, I will remain unsatisfied with what has happened thus far. In fact, my headcanon is that Luna will still be evil for some reason, and proves to be more powerful than even Celestia. Then Discord teams up with the Mane Six to defeat the new threat. Then, once NMM is all but defeated, we learn that it was ALL a test... As in, the entire show was one big preparation agreed upon by the sisters, so that Twily could learn how to deal with problems, and thus become the best successor possible... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not exactly sure how they would pull it off at this point given that she's stuck in the Equestria Girls universe, but if there's any possibility of her returning, then I'm all for it. I realize her reception was lukewarm at best, but I think there was a lot of wasted potential for her character just given what an interesting and complex backstory she had. And now that she is on friendly terms with Twilight, she is ready to learn first hand what friendships are like. Sunset is a lot like Twilight, but with many more blunders and mistakes under her hoof, and it would be interesting to see her grow and repent for her previous ways, even if it's just for an episode or two. And on that note, we also need more Lightning Dust. If Trixie can come back for round two, then LD should be entitled to another venture. This queen was oozing charisma and elegance after she was fully revealed, with a genuinely malicious presence. Her greatness was only heightened in the comic book, which somehow made her seem even nastier. Frankly speaking, she was a fantastic character in the tradition of Disney villains like Urusla or Maleficent. Oh, and she has the greatest character design ever. They went out of their way to make her future extremely open ended and she's brimming with potential in ways that I don't think any other minor character does. However she returns, I predict it'll be a fantastic and extremely memorable Rainbow Dash episode. Sunset Shimmer as well. Though it's not happening this season and it's somewhat doubtful whether she'll ever come back and make an actual appearance in the show, I'd love to see it. She'd open up opportunities to show other sides of Celestia as well, being someone who was once close to her. Sunset is the only character that I would kind of like to see join the main cast, and I think her personality could play off of everybody else's in some extremely entertaining and fun ways. Nature's Spell 526 December 3, 2013 Share December 3, 2013 (edited) Except for Discord I've not been overly impressed by any of the major villains so far and the whole basis of the show forces villains to be very one dimensional. The show isn't about bad things happening or the bad guys winning. It's about a magical world filled with colorful ponies where things end up OK in the end and that's fine. What we love about the show, I think, is that it is a near utopia that makes sense and seems so very real. It's an amazing show for that alone. Back on topic I'd rather a new villain. Discord is great since he's not fully reformed and still such a ass.
