More Works

Recommended Posts

Just some more works I've composed and run through the music programs I have. These are electronic versions of real-life music from either video games or albums, so if you recognize the titles or the similarities in music, that explains it. Downloads are welcome, reviews are also quite welcome and much appreciated.

Embrace the night, however, do not let it overwhelm you. For only with the perfect balance of light and darkness comes true revelations upon our kind.

City Trial

It's a fair listen, but sorry to be to stern but, it just didn't sound right.

Your strings are too loud in the first part, the guitar-like synth isn't so clear.

The percussion could use some work as well

All in all it seems like you rushed this one

Ocean

Strings were good up until the percussion came in. The percussion is perhaps the biggest gripe for me in this one, as it's monotonus and hardly has any varience. Plus it sounds to electronic. What were you aiming in this piece? An ambient sound, 'cause that's what an ocean is like. I suggest that you go back and change the percussion in this piece, because it threw off the feel of what an ocean sounds like.

BEST ACID EVER

Ok...I really don't know what to say about this one, except that the percussion needs a TON of work. Sorry, but this is what I think of your pieces. Your transitions could be a bit smoother. It was a...good listen.

Orcarina of Time Medley

This one is perhaps your best track. But yet again, VARIANCE! How can I stress this even more? That's the one barrier in electronic originals/remixes. You had the same percussion line going on for almost the whole piece. Also, your strings need a bit of EQ work.

7.5/10

All in all you put effort into making these tracks, but you need to practice quite a bit. Making electronic music is perhaps one of the hardest things to do in music, as electronic music is the genre that has almost the least amount of variance.

Also, you may need to invest in some better DAWs that contain better synth sounds. What program where you using by the way?

This is all from a 14 year musician (not to brag or sound prideful in any way, shape or form)
