Wow! That is a very nice drawing! I loved the style you used, although the one thing that's kinda bugging me is Tavi's tail. It just seems so stiff and not as free as Vinyl's tail.

Hmmm... anatomy looks off.

-Octavia's snout off, snouts usually perk up a bit, and should be a little smaller

-As for vinyl, her snout perks up too much, making her face look off

-The ponies are too big for their legs, the legs need to be angled better

-Octavia's flank is big in comparison to her leg, even it out a little bit

-Colours are off, Octavia's mane is black, not brown. and Vinyl's mane is blue and light blue, not teal and purple.

-Octavia's tail is very stiff, unlike vinyls, it doesn't look like it naturally flows like Vinyls

-I can say your linework is good and you are getting there, just enhance your anatomy to look more accurate

I'll suggest a pony anatomy chart, if you don't have that, you'll be blindly free handing. learn it, remember it, and draw it.

It'll be a bit tedious to learn anatomy at first,  but you will get the hang of it, and it's definitely worth it ;)

Looks like you just started arting. Without going into the anatomy mumbo jumbo I'd like to say arting can be pretty stressing, or not depending on who you are.

I'm also really new to art, I just started this year and the big help I got was watching 'Drawponies's tutorial on anatomy and using undersketching to help place certain parts where they need to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pv5Bt1CtrI&feature=youtu.be&t=3m53s

Practice practice practice, I used to think practice was a myth till I started to see improvement, I'm no artist but I can surely give tips

Well if you aren't thinking about being an artist as a job, or you really love drawing its not stressful. Or at least, for me it wasn't. Also, if you draw, you are an artist. You don't have to be a professional to be an artist.

About the drawing: Good job! It looks pretty good. Keep practicing, and I promise you will see yourself improve! Honestly, I think if you keep practicing you can teach yourself, although tutorials can help. But after you get the basics, than adding your own style and touches is a lot of fun!
