Yeah, I was going to have it be a kid who failed their test. I thought you would either kill, or look after her. The idea came into my head, and I thought it would be interesting. I had to ask first.

look after her will be impossible for my oc since he lost everything "Human" working there... but she can escape somehow and i'll chase her everywhere trying to kill her... maybe this way we can make my oc meet yours

Think of it like this, Maaebjan slashes his sword but puts a thin portal in front of it. Therefore the slash is sent through the portal and it looks like there is an invisible slash since only the edge of the sword is being sent through. So in truth, the sword is actually touching but it doesn't look like it

In fact, if you try and force something through a portal smaller than it than it will end up more than likely shaved, and if this was done as you are trying than it would be shaved between material and immaterial planes where you would have an intangible sword and a hologram of a sword.@,

 

But, how it actually works is if the physical object doesn't go through the portal, then you can't see it. So, since you can't see it than it doesn't exist. So it physically can't work the way you are talking about

So what you're saying is that only the very tip of the blade goes through. Because if that's the case then it can't do any more than superficial damage. Or illegal unavoidable godmodding damage.

It's more to the lines of a pressure wave that can cut you, but the sword loses most of it's power through the portal. I can't really explain it other than it being air slash, bascially

Normally I'd be lenient on things like this, but it makes literally no sense and comes from nowhere.
