Well I had a good idea here it is

would it be a good idea finish up season 4 then hand it off to other people or the the same creators and have them turn my little pony in a more cooler and epic show for older people like fight scenes like the magic duel turn it into more of a fight more violent and same for the canterlot wedding ep and so on and not say turn the whole show into violence and fighting just more serious like season 4 ep 2 where celestia and luna fight more serious moment what you all think a change or keep it you decide witch one more of a good idea

There's another thing I don't understand. Why must everything be "more violent" and "more epic"?
Isn't the show good enough as it is? Besides, based on what we saw in the season 4 premiere, they've already taken things to a darker direction. Not overly so, but it was noticeable.
When Celestia was battling Nightmare Moon, I was sitting there, thinking "Wow, this is actually some heavy-duty shit."
Overglorification of violence and death is also the main reason I disliked "Fighting is Magic" so much, and was pleased to see the project get scrapped.

Nah, I'd rather the show maintain its relatively innocent nature.

Anyways, changing a show dynamic that drastically would be kind of pointless, and it's fine the way that it is; if you want more violent or adult stuff, there are plenty of shows that offer that.

It's the charming kiddie stuff most people fell in love with.

No! I watch the show because of the way it is, no violence, and all that crap. It's a show about magical ponies who are learning about the magic of friendship, adding fight scenes and all that would make it an entirely different show and I think it would end up being like all the other action cartoons out there.

I wouldn't be against the idea of an MLP show that was a bit more violent, but I wouldn't want it to happen in Friendship is Magic and I would want the art style of the new show to be completely different and use new characters to distance it from FIM. I like FIM for what it is and what it teaches. I feel like if it became more violent it would undermine and undo everything that it has taught up to this point. Also, even if the new show was more violent, I wouldn't want it to necessarily condone violence. I would like it more if whenever the characters had to beat up or kill somepony they would feel sad that it has come to this. Nopony (no good guy pony) would EVER revel in violence or take the slightest amount of pleasure from it.

I honestly think that most people fell in love with this show because it has an innocent nature, but not really shallow plot lines. I, for one, know that I love it because it brings me joy and happiness, and more violence and seriousness would take that away.

Ok, but that could spin out of control very quickly. You turn fight scenes more serious, then people who like the change want longer fight scenes. Then people want more fight scenes.

Besides, I like it the way it is. If they made it more serious it wouldn't be the lighthearted show it was before imo....

As much as I love animated shows trying new things, I'm going to have to say no. Change isnt necessarily a good or a bad thing. It just depends on who takes the reigns. Consider this, looney tunes was considered a lucrative franchise for years. But someone wanted to take it in a certain direction, it was green lighted and we got the, oh crimeny, "The Loonatics." And those who don't know what that is, consider yourself lucky.

I don't think that would be a good idea at all. The merit of the show is that it's a great mix of comedy, slice of life, drama and action. The building up of the characters would be hard to achieve when all you see I'd them kicking butt and not developing stronger friendships.

Well, i understand wanting some more dark moments in the show, but i find that the show is perfectly fine as is.

 

Really there is always other shows that satisify that darker want, and if not theres MLP fanfics and animations and stuff.

 

I just like the mostly childlike feel the show has alot of times, its refreshing, and i don't really want it to change to be honest.

 

I understand what you want, but i just feel the show is fine as is, why fix something that ain't broke? Especially something as unique as MLP.

The way the show is presented now is the reason why it has generated an adult fandom. Also, you must keep one thing firmly in mind. Making the show more "adult" would alienate the vastly larger core fandom of little girls. Hasbro and The Hub WILL NOT risk that. They'd rather lose the far smaller Brony faction than kill off their cash cow.

The show is quaint, low violence, and more slice of lifey, than many shows I adore..... and that's why I enjoy it (Among other reasons)..

 

However, I wouldn't mind putting more adult themes in it EG: Drugs, closer relationships, bad words,....

I like the show because of the way it is. I actually liked the darkish mood on season 4 opening but that's pretty much as far into the violent and dark mood if like to see.

 

If anything, I would not mind seeing a few drama episodes that are sad. It would be cool to see of they made an episode that was actually sad
