I’ve not really seen it but I’ve seen bits here and there: I do have a song in my library by Good Junk called Magic Music Magic (Super Winx) which is like a French-House sample based song which loops the intro before the main chorus of the theme song to Winx Club and adds drums on top etc. That's about the only thing I can say about the show though really that I know a song sampling the theme song lol

I watched it every once in a while when I was younger. I thought it was pretty good. I have a hard time remembering what it was about and the names of the characters though. Sorry  :(

Oh yes, I remember that show (albeit vaguely). I remember liking it, but not sure to what extent. :/

 

The thing that comes first to my mind are the villains, especially that.. god-like guy, can't remember his name, but I think he pulled the three witch girls out of the happy-happy prison dimension thing and did other evil stuff. (yeah, my memory is really getting a work-out here. :P).

 

As for favorite character, well, I remember liking the plant/flower girl for whatever reason.

 

Aaaand... nothing else to say, really. I really can't remember much about it.

Anyone ever seen the winx club series???

If so, who is/ are your favorite characters??

What is your favorite episode??

Details. I need details.

 

I started watching it on netflix just for kicks a couple days ago.. I do hope it gets better as I go on, assuming I can keep going....

This one actually does scream "girls only!" and has a lot of very VERY low quality moments in every way. Writing, voice actors, design.... and especially stiff animation.. Its sad when even spongebob is more animated than something of this far higher nature..

Its almost as low budget as an old 80's toon (lets face it, they sucked :P Still love'em myself, but they still sucked)

Noticeably they also enjoy having closed eyes on characters... I've lost count how often they have their eyes closed tight while continuing to talke with a frozen face and flapping lips :P

Couldn't they at least open their eyes? lol

 

Not to mention, over lapping lines of dialogue.. one character isn't even finished speaking and already they're being spoken to/at/about as if they were complete.. this includes non-moving mouths, and a dubbed japanese movie extended lip flapping after all is done :P

Male characters are all fairly good looking ken doll characters, with one nerdy scrawny guy that doubles as a bit of a clutz...

 

It has potential, but I'm not a fan of its very "eco friendly veganism" shoved in your face attitude it seems to be playing at.

From very Californian and Hippy clothing and fasions, to story and character setup... They really preach the LA lifestyle...

 

I do often wonder sometimes if those that are as such have ever actually set foot outside of a city for more than a quick stop...

 

Even the Tinker Bell movies haven't been this girly though strangely enough :P

I mean... the whole "school" is bright pink... Hell, the "witches" school is also pink.. lol

 

LOL all in all, its not bad, but again, I've only watched like 4 episodes so far..

Well that god like character is Valtor. The three witches are the trix. Their names are Stormy, Icy, and I can't really remember the other witch's name.

Hmmm... I do love Winx Club. I've watched first 5 seasons, the 6th is still in air, and I must say that the first 3 are the best. 4th isn't that bad too, I'm actually very fond of Roxy.

 

5th... mah, not really having something that makes me watch it over. I am glad for Daphne though, and I wonder how that is supposed to affect the 6th season.

 

My favorite character is Bloom. Yeah, I know, she is overrated and kind of Mary Sue-ish (especially in later seasons and in movies), but she is also kind of awesome, and not at all that perfect. She's very jumpy, and at times hard to handle. She brought both herself and her friends in trouble a few times, just due to her jumpiness. But, she is caring, devoted and an amazing friend. Her story is very interesting and deep, and so is her relationship with Daphne as well as the other Winx girls.

 

Out of the rest, I like Stella and Flora most. Okay, I love most of them, I'm just not that fond of Techna and Layla. I mean, they are cool but... nah.

 

I am not at all fond of specialists. Honestly, I only like Helia. He and Flora are adorable together. ^^

 

My favorite episodes... it's really hard to say. But, I love that one in season 2 where Musa has a concert. That one is very much different from the rest, and it's very touching. Poor Musa. <3

The show is bucking TERRIBLE.

 

The first time I watched it I wanted to gouge my eyes out with hot pokers.... but then I wouldn't be able to watch mlp anymore....

I understand you don't like the show. But gees, don't you think it's a little much what you said about the hot pokers???

Some of us really truly like the show.

I like the following characters: Flora, Bloom, Musa, and Helia.

Flora because of her way with plants.

Bloom because she has the dragon fire and she is pretty cute.

Musa because of her musical abilities and her singing voice.

Helia because of his long hair, his silent yet regal aura, and his artistic qualities.

I kinda wish I had wings like Musa's.

I'll admit, I hate winx the cartoon series and toys, but I will admit, I do like their designs and outfits more than monster high and bratz combined.

 

That, and because an artist really knew how to draw them well as winx characters, give them a look!

I'll give credit here, the art style is pretty nifty, but when put to whatever animation studio it was licensed too.. They really made a mess of it all :/

but in stills and promotional.. its good stuff.

 

And your right that person does capture it very well, and if I might say, improves on it too.
