gaming What Do You Like/Hate About Fallout 3/NV, and What If Fallout 4 Is Coming Out?

Hay guys and gals just was wondering if you lot had any awesome adventures or travels in the fallout universe and what's your fav things about fallout like factions guns armour quest or just stuff in general also if you are hoping for fallout 4

The thing I hate about those games is that the environment is incredibly boring. Yes, it's a nuclear wasteland, fine...But browns and grays and barren emptiness are not fun. If you want a given environment without worrying about fun, make a movie, Games have to be fun. The wasteland is just dull and depressing and travel quickly becomes tedious. When your entire world is just bland brown nothingness, you damn well better include a fast travel system.

 

On top of that, the genre shift from 2 to 3 maybe wasn't the best thing...Took out a lot of tactical bits in favor of action.

 

And the stories...Ugh, you couldn't get lazier. Fallout 3: Go find your dad, because.  Fallout NV: Go find some guy who shot you. I mean, NV at least adds a mystery and revenge element but even then it's not built up well at all and when you finally find the guy, it's practically a throwaway encounter.

What I love about fallout new vegas is that you can just shoot someone and they explode everywhere if you have the bloody mess perk.

I was so busy ballin' through New Vegas that i had 20'000 caps and jack all to do with it.

I only needed to repair my gauss rifle every now and then and getting mf cells and then I could snipe off heads!

I like Fallout3 more.

 

I could never get into NV because it KEPT CRASHING! 

 

Got to say, some of NV's DLC is pure gold. Especially the "Overlord Toaster" and Mugsy

I actually found Fallout 3 to crash more than NV.

I like both games for the ability to do whatever the fuck you want. Want to go into a town and kill everyone? Go ahead. I also love the idea of a world that has been destroyed by nuclear war. It's pretty interesting how people built hundreds of vaults underground and lived there for years.

I like New Vegas more. I like the sort of guns there are. I almost always have had a .357 that I carried, I loved the looks and maintainability of the weapon. I've rarely repaired it.

I like the plotline also and find the Courier an interesting character. In fact, my name on here at one time was a tribute to him. The way he would do anything for revenge against the man that could have killed him if he could have aimed down a tad bit more.

I Fallout 3 was good, DLC was just difficult of course except Operation: Anchorage. But most of it, particularly the end of Broken Steel. Took me about a month to get through Adams Air Force Base. It was all the damn Sigmas.

I find that both games are equal. Both have great story lines and characters. NV does crash more often but the amount of side quests make up for that.

I love both games, and I'm already pumped for Fallout 4.

 

I prefer New Vegas, for many reasons. I just felt like it was overall a better game. I enjoyed the Mojave desert more than I did DC. I also found that the world of New Vegas felt a little more lively, like there were more people to meet. Also, I love the old music that plays in the games.

Both games are quite boring imo  

 

Fall out 3 was very good when it came out, quite ground breaking and unique, though really only playable through 1 or 2 times imo  

 

NV I did not like at all, it was sold as a new game yet barely anything was different, could have been a DLC / addon

Both were pretty good in the beginning, but they generally become boring rather quickly. But THEN I started modding the **** out of both of 'em, and now they're worth playing over and over and over.

 

But Fallout 2 every day, any day.
