Fluttershy Sculpt

Some of you know that I like to sculpt ponies, though, most of you probably don't know that. And thus, this topic was born~!

 

I've been sculpting ponies for a few months now, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. But don't take my word for it, why do you use your eyeballs and see for yourself? ^-^

Thanks~! It's my goal to make sculptures that are more show-accurate than what Hasbro can make ^-^

 

And of course~! She's still wet in this image. I've got to bake her, and get the right paints, but she's definitely not staying all grey and icky

Original Sculpey, and sculpting tools. Nothing too fancy.

That' some really neat sculpting work right there. As someone who has dabbled in sculpting ponies myself, I gotta congratulate you on the overall smoothness of the thing.

 

-the mane is a bit wonky, but that might just be the transition into 3d-

-the hindhoofs should touch the ground roughly below the pelvis, as they are the hindlegs are a wee bit too long and hold much more tension than the rest of the body

-the ears should be angled at a bit more of an 45° angle when viewed from above

-the separation of the wingfeathers seems crude compared to the rest of the figure

The shape is 99.99% done. I just need to polish it up a bit, and she'll be going in the oven. And of course she's going to be painted!! ^-^

As for your critiques, I appreciate it, but I'm not really going to bother with most of this. They sound like personal nitpicks, and I'm not really bothered by them. Plus, these "errors" can totally be seen as a person style of mine. I'll definitely be sprucing up the sculpt a bit before I throw it in the oven, but I'm pretty happy with how it is right now.

Y'know, after working on a separate pony, I noticed that the ears definitely should be more angled, if I want to be show accurate that is. I'mma go fix that right now.
