Nearly crashing head-first into Amaya, she repeated what Amaya had said. "Snow?" Melissa walked inside the now-empty room to take a look outside. It WAS snowing. She squealed in delight and headed back to her Dorm to get her coat. After she had done that she then raced outside to find Dusk dancing and twirling around in the snow. She started to do the same thing and joined in.

"Ahahaha!" Dusk was just having the grandest time of his life. He ran about and rolled around in the snow making cliche snow angels he had seen from his father's television. Though a voice called out to him as he sat up and looked at the nearby window. It was Amaya! She said she wanted to play too and disappeared back into the room, probably getting properly dressed for the occasion. Dusk grinned and couldn't wait for her to join him. This was loads of fun as it already was, now he had a playmate!

 

Dusk stood up and began rolling balls of snow to make another cliche snowman he learned from his television shows. Why was it snowing? He didn't care at all, he'd probably get to the bottom of it later, right now was an opportunity to be had he had never experienced before, it also made him completely forget about his super important mission as well.

Upon seeing Melissa coming out from the building as well he couldn't help but laugh as she joined in on his festivities. He looked towards where she had came from and saw Amaya in the distance coming from the entrance. What she had on, now that was adorable. Though...upon seeing her in warm winter clothes he couldn't help but start to feel the biting cold himself.

 

"Oh wow, it is getting cold...I better go get a jacket or something. At least my dorm is right there." Dusk said happily as he ran towards the wall leading to his dorm room on the otherside. Though without stopping or realizing anything, WHAM! He plunged face first into the wall and stumbled back, falling on his rump as a result. Wincing in pain he held his nose and rubbed at his now red face.

 

"Oooowww...I can't...go through walls anymore too?..." He said continually hissing in pain.

Melissa thought that this would be the best time to try her new move out, instead of practicing in her room. Before she used it, she heard Dusk slam into the wall. Walking over to him, she looked at position on the slushy ground.

"Dusk, I thought you could still go through walls even if you've evolved." Apparently Melissa thought wrong. There's a lot she doesn't know about Ghost types.

    Amaya flinched as she watched Dusk smash into the wall. Oh Arceus, that sounded like it hurt...

She made an attempt to run over, but the snow was very slick and all she could manage to do was slip and slide until she reached the two. She finally came to a halt by bumping into dusk and nearly flipping over him.

 

    "S-Sorry, sorry... Are you okay? That looked..." She cringed slightly, reaching to touch his nose, making sure it was broken. "Maybe wearing a blindfold isn't such a good idea.." Amaya doted, completely misunderstanding why Dusk had run full force into a wall.

Dusk rubbed at his face some more and looked up at Melissa who was wondering the same thing he was.

 

"I thought so too...it was one thing not being able to float anymore, but now this? W-" Dusk was interrupted by the sound of slush being trampled by the approaching Amaya. As she knelt down and touched his nose, he couldn't help but turn a bit of red from her seriously warm touch. It didn't help when she told him it wasn't a good idea to keep that blindfold on him at all times. this just made him fluster from embarrassment.

 

 "W-Wha?? N-No this isn't- I wasn't running at the wall blindly- I thought my ghost powers were gonna activate and I go right through it, because I'm still a ghost....right?" He said as he looked down a bit at his hands. Was he truly still a ghost pokemon? Didn't he read that Dusclops were STILL ghost pokemon? What's happening to him..why was he so solid? Dusk let out an exasperated sigh as he hung his head. It brought his arms and hugged himself, it was definitely getting a little colder. Everytime he took a breath and exhaled there was always a visible puff of smoke.

 

"Hahaha...I can't fly anymore and now I can't go through walls. I'm starting to miss being an actual ghost." Dusk said as he stood up next to the two girls.

 

"Come on, let's have some more fun, then we'll figure out what's causing all this snow." Dusk said trying to keep the optimistic air about him not once letting his worried demeanor getting the better of him. Plus...he was able to have a good fun moment for once. No battling...no flaring emotions...He wanted it to last, especially with good friends. He looked down at both Melissa and Amaya gave a goofy grin as he chuckled a bit waiting for their responses.

"I think you being an actual ghost is a lot worse than this." Melissa said to herself. Speaking louder, she said, "If we're gonna have some fun, then why don't we build snowmen? Or throw snowballs .... or .... I know! I haven't mastered this yet but it's always worth a shot." Taking her gloves off she began to rub her hadns in an effort to warm them up. Why she did that she had no idea just felt good. 'Okay. Here we go.' Melissa put both her hands to the ground and an the ground around her turned to ice. She began to make tracks out of the ice and just melted the unused bits. Getting up and putting her gloves back on, she was quite proud of her work. "Anyone up for ice skating?"

Razor had caught sight of the snow from a window in the room and rushed out of there as fast as she could to go outside. It didn't matter much to her if she had anyone with her or not, snow was something she'd never been in. It never snowed in her town, and it seemed so.. strange. Razor dropped her bag and books near the academy entrance and quickly stepped through the doors. The first thing she noticed was how her breathe was visible in the cold air. She held her hand up in front of her mouth and took a breath, seeing if she could the air she exhaled. It dispersed from her hand, and she suddenly felt something wet fall onto her hand. Snow. Looking up her eyes widened at the flurries falling swiftly down to the ground, making plush piles of fresh white mounds. Snow. Snow.. angels! She plopped herself on the ground near other students and followed them in making snow angels! It didn't matter if she was alone, she was having the time of her life playing alone in the snow.

Nik growled as he was awoken from his nap by shouting he walked outside the window and saw his peers playing in the snow like spoiled brats. Nik would have left them to it, but the amount of noise they were making was ruining his nap time. Nik smirked as his tail created an energy ball. Aiming upward, he fired the small orb. 

 

"Burst and mix" Nik muttered, shaking his tail around. The energy ball was now glowing like a second Sun. While Nik's version of Sunny Day was nowhere near as good as the original, it would still turn this snow to slush within minutes

Dark had finished transcribing his novel and had decided to go outside, he'd been couped up all day and could use the air.

As he walks out he notices the fine white cold on the ground.

"Snow? In the middle of a desert?" He looks up "That's bloody beaut!"

Looking further up he notices the sun appeared to be infrint of the clouds,

"I... Ok... Not even I have an explanation for that"

He start heading towards the benches and notices the Art-Monkey standing looking rather smug, his tail glowing,

'Hmm, smug face, tail glowing, magic sun... Hmmm'

 

In hindsight Dark next decision may not have been the smartest...

He picked a gem (a green sapphire, incredible rare, and very, very dense) out of his pocket...

 

...And pifs it at Niks head...

Nik's rage flashed and the miniature Sun disappeared. He turned around, his eyes bloodshot from lack of sleep. "Y-you...." Nik snarled, to angered to even form a coherent sentence. "YOU'RE DEAD!" Nik finally screamed, firing a beam from his tail. Pain Split, while Nik's version only shared thoughts, it would be enough to make a massive headache

Joshu walked in the library and immediately noticed the out of place decorations. They made the library look like it was set in the Medieval era. Proceeding to the main desk he saw a teacher that looked like she ws dead to the world. Could that be the librarian?

"Ma'am? I'm returning a book. Do you think you can show me any interesting ...." his voice grew quiet when he saw a poster on the desk. "LARPing. What's LARPing?" Joshu asked out loud.

Delphina jumped out of her chair, "I can show you many things, after the knight frees the princess and tames the dragon. I mean, no... In order for me to suggest good books, I have to know what you like. LARPing is an acronym for live action role-playing. We stage mock-battles with foam weapons, give each team a goal, and role play. Interested?"

Fernmint looked up at the door and sighed. Picking himself up off his chair, he walked to the door and opened it. "Oh it's you! Hello there... Rune I believe? What brings you to my office?" He happened to take a peek out his window to see snow falling on the ground. Oh you've got to be kidding me... 

 

Zach walked outside and looked around at the snow. "I... what? Snow? Did Castform do this?" He said to noone in particular. He saw a small orb in the sky and was about to shoot it down with Scald before it quickly went out.

 

Dustin woke from his nap and looked out the window. He practically squeed in delight and quickly took off his hoodie and rushed outside. He looked around at all the snow on the ground and, with just his white tshirt on, faceplanted in the snow. Oh this is great!

"Don't you remember? Yesterday? I asked you if you were available to practice after classes?" Rune asked, reminding Fernmint of the conversation they had yesterday. "I mean, if you're available. I need practice with actual fencing, not just battling like I do in battle class." he said.

Fernmint smiled as he remembered the conversation. "Ah yes! Well-" he clapped his hands together and walked out the door, turning towards Rune and drawing his rapier. He twirled around a bit before chuckling and sheathing it. "Rune what do you think of this: I was thinking of making the class less of a Fencing experience and more of a general swordplay one. I'd be teaching things like Kendo and Kenjutsu, as well as Chinese and Greek swordsmanship. Sound good to you? I think I'd still include Fencing and the like, but I'd like to switch it up a bit you know?"

"Honestly, that actually sounds a bit better than just plain old fencing. Any kind of swordsmanship is alright with me really." Rune said. "I'd be pretty interested in some of the more eastern techniques especially. I'm used to using a sword and a parrying dagger, but I wouldn't mind using a two-handed weapon, maybe even using two swords, even if it would be a bit unnecessary."

Fernmint nodded and smiled. "Excellent. The Kenjutsu will be primarily two-handed katana techniques, and I was thinking of doing some Gaelic Claymore swordplay, so two handed swords are already planned. As for two swords... Niten Ichi-ryu is probably going to be a good contender for that. It'll let me break out my wakizashi. Sounds like a plan to me."

joshu was a bit taken aback at the librarian's sudden burst of energy. "Sounds like fun. I'd like to give it a shot. As for what I'm interested in, its mostly fantasy and science-fiction really." Joshu looked over the poster some more and he saw that there was already a name there. Someone named Lhee .... oh. Lhee's already a part of this? It must be fun if someone like Lhee signed up for it.

Looking between each novel, Joshu eventually decided on the Daring Do novel and the weird star one. Before he went to sign the books out, he turned and tried to find the sign up sheet for LARPing. Spotting it, he went over and signed his name on it.

"Thanks for the books and I'll see you on Monday. Bye!" He gave a wave, signed out the books and headed over to his Dorm. Glancing out of the window, he saw snow. "Snow? Why is it snowing in the middle of a desert?" He walked outside with the Daring Do book he found a relatively dry patch. Sitting, he cracked open the book and started to read.

"Eh? Ice Skating? You mean that thing where people glide over the ice? Isn't that super hard?" Dusk said staring in awe at Melissa's new ability. When was she able to do an Ice Beam? Then again Dusk never really took the time to learn about her personally. He figured Melissa was one of those who cringed at the sight of Ghosts...but maybe because he's much less of a ghost now...she's more comfortable around him? People are confusing...

 

"I don't really know how to Ice Skate...but heck I'll try it." Dusk said as he took a foot and began touching the slippery surface of the newly frozen over Ice Rink.

 

"If I just put one foot in front of the other...maybe I can..." Dusk muttered to himself as he carefully brought his other foot onto the ice. Immediately regretting this idea he began to slip and sail over to the otherside at a Macargo's pace. Flailing his arms here and there trying to gain his balance, Dusk was sort of Ice Skating...if you can call it that.

"DUSKY!" Lolita called over to her ghosty friend. "Oooh ice skating! I've been ice skating since I was little bitty!" For whatever reason nobody knows Lolita had brought skates with her to the academy. She quickly put them on and easily glided over the ice, adding in a few twirls and spins here and there. "WEEEEE! Don't you just LOVE the cold? I mean its snowy and icey and fun!"

Amaya sat herself nearby in the snow, and watched the two play around. She started to gather the snow around her into mounds, She would make a Castle of Snow. And she will be the King of Snow Castle. What a happy day for all of Snow Kingdom, a king is born. A new king lives.

"Oh, I don't think it's all that hard." Amaya mused, her focus mainly on building up her snowy wall. "It's like dancing, but on ice... But you should--" She was going to tell him to mind his step, but he cut her off with a strange, struggling noise that stole her attention away from this magnificent fort that was already so much better than Sleepy's Castle.

For a moment she was just shocked. He's...He's terrible! D: (A-Amaya that might be alittle too harsh!) But her shock was quickly overcome by the sheer fact of how absolutely ridiculous Dusk looked, sliding haphazardly around the ice Melissa had crafted. For the first time she noticed how out of place Dusk seemed against the dream-like scenery. He had a rough look compared to the soft snowy features that covered every inch everything of the courtyard. That, and the slipping around like a baby who was learning to walk/

Amaya cupped her small hands over her lips, trying to mask the giggled that poured from her.
" Your doing great, Dusk!" She called to him, lifting her hands for just a moment to show off her laughing smile.

The skitty girl from before suddenly leaped onto the ice from seemingly nowhere, atleast from Amaya's point of veiw.

She was a great contrast to Dusk, with her fluent movements and jumps. " How Cute!!" Amaya added.

"O-Oh! Hey Lolita! When did y- nevermind." Dusk was just just slowly sliding onto the middle of the rink and kind of froze there. 

 

"Uhhhh I don't know what to do! This is kinda scary man...oh gods I don't wanna fall and-" With a small sudden move Dusk slipped and landed on his stomach.

 

"Ack...gods damn it..." Dusk muttered as he winced in pain. He slowly began to sit himself up but kept slipping and flailing about until he fell once again. It was quite the hilarious scene actually, it was like watching a young fawn standing for the first time....with wheels for feet....on ice. Dusk stopped himself completely as he steadied himself enough to stand up once again.

 

"This was the worst idea...I've ever had...in the history of worst ideas ever..." Dusk stated as his shakey legs made him worry once again about his composure on the ice. However, upon seeing Amaya join in on the Ice Skating shenanigans, Dusk was immediately out done by the two skating females.

 

"The heck is this? Do all girls have the natural ability to look graceful in everything they do??" Dusk said pouting a bit, but he couldn't keep his face straight as he chuckled a bit at his own demise. At least they were having fun, as painful as it might have been.

Zach laughed at Dusk's attempt at Ice skating and jumped on the ice himself. He glided around on his fur boots for a while before jumping and doing a pirouette. He skidded to a halt in front of Dusk and smiled. "Guys can be graceful too!" he said teasingly.

"Not as cute as you, though!" Lolita glided over to Amaya and gave her a small hug. She went back to Dusk and caught him from almost tripping. "Y-you can probably get better with practice!" She gave a supportive smile, might work magic! And Dusk really did need magic to get better because she knew he wasn't going to get anywhere. Another gijinka showed up pointing out a nice fact. "Oooh that's right! You're talented too!" She gave him a high five and introduced herself then asked for his name.
