From the oldskool stuff like Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck to the Heavy Metal like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath(Which Ozzy Osbourne was apart of).  I'm on the search for great Hard Rock.

What would you all recommend in terms of Hard Rock and/or Heavy Metal besides what I mentioned?

Well I'm a huge fan of hard rock and heavy metal, but do you want classic stuff or modern stuff?

I would recommend my favorite band, Rush. Their best stuff is their 70s and early 80s stuff.

If you're looking to get acquainted with hard rock/metal juggernauts, there are a hundred names I could recommend, but you'll probably get 1000 recommendations in this thread.  So for now I'll just offer this classic.  It's nice and heavy, but simple and catchy, and not as intricate/overwhelming as something like Slayer or Pantera (although I also consider those two "required listening" for any fan of metal).

Depends on your taste in metal. Contrary to common belief, "heavy metal" is not a specific genre. It's the full term for the shorthand "metal" and as such encompasses all subgenres.

Scandinavia (traditionally Finland, Sweden and Norway but some may vary on details) is generally a great place to tap for metal artists, mostly of the power, black, and death types but there's a good amount of variation between and within those three.

@,let's be real here.  Tom's performances sound like somebody tossed him through the side of a building, while recording.  And then applied auto-tune and Photoshop, and managed to fool one or two people into thinking he was worth something.  Tom sucks.

@,

Sabaton are amazing wonderful band.

You want a heavy sounding album?

You should give this album a go. Also Social D are great

Another suggestion I'd recommend def. Motorhead.

Disturbed is also a great band.

There are so so many great rock bands out there if you are new to the genre

Looks like you were going for classic hard rock but hadn't specifically asked for 90's or current metal. If you were going to go for 90's hard rock then Grunge stuff like Soundgarden and Pearl Jam is at least something you should be familiar with.

Since you WERe asking for classics I'd recommend the 70's Hard Rock / Proto-metal stuff in these 2 lists

Definitely knowing stuff like Deep Purple, UFO, Mountain, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Ac/Dc are in line with your request. (no offense to those who were trying to help with more tangent choices). ^_^

If you'd like some late 60's blues rock here's another list as i did seen an absence of Cream,
