Help me with an OC Name!

I created my "Ponysona" and the only thing he lacks is a name, he plays the piano, so i'd like an music related name, please no cliche names.

 

Please help me! i've always had problems with naming characters!

Hm,  my first thought went to Ivory Keys.  You can also go with Ticklish Ivory (since piano playing is sometimes called tickling the ivories).  Grand Ivory or Grand Keys (out of Grand Piano).  Or possibly Harpsichord

I rather like Ivory Keys without knowing anything more than piano.

 

 

OP: Sorry, I'm not going to be much help here without more info about the character. Show accurate names tend to stem from a combination of the ponies personality, hobbies, job, lifestyle, etc. at least from what I've noticed. Sometimes their colors and stature play into it too. Just the way things somehow magically work considering the name comes before anything else. The cutie mark then goes right along with it in most cases as well. Everything just kind of ties together, and because of the way I treat lore I'm no good at making names without more info and possibly a pic. Like I said, I like the name above, but if the character is say... bright red, I then don't like the name because it doesn't fit well enough to me.

Ok, someone asked for info about the character, he's a pegasus, a little shy but friendly, likes being with other ponies but needs time alone, he's creative and intelligent, but he's so impatient and doesn't like to follow the rules, he's blue and his mane is brown.

Since you mention he is blue, there is a musical term called a "blue note" that is used for expressive purpose in jazz or blues style music. If no cutie mark has been designed yet, and idea might be a row of 4 or 5 piano keys, in kind of a wave, with a "blue note" over top of them.

I know a word that sounds cool but I'm not sure what to pair with it

 

ADAGIO - Slow, an indication of tempo used as a playing direction in music. I think it'd be a cool name for  pony.

 

But out of the other posts I think Ivory Keys would be an awesome name.

Fortissimo (meaning loud in Itallian). 

 

I also agree with FlickerHush. I like the word/name Adagio. (It's Itallian.)

 

Or you could be creative and put the two names together! Then you get Adagio Fortissimo - probably could mean A Slowed Heavy-Beat? 

 

Learned the word Fortissimo in music. My grandpa was an army band master for 20 years and he still plays music and conducts for the local churches in the county. He's 84 now and I take a music class at school *_*. 

 

That or you could name him Heavy-Beat

Or the name Beat-Box came to mind.
