Hello fellow Harry Potter fans! Today I present to you... MLP Hogwarts RP! This rp is four years after Harry and his friends graduate. There are still the four houses. The headmaster will give quests to students every now and then. The RP is just a regular day in Hogwarts.

 

Rules:

 

No alicorns! Alicorns are reserved for the headmaster.

 

Non ponies are allowed except for changelings

 

No cheating in quests

 

No giving passwords to other ponies

Oh gosh I've never RPd before but I looove Harry potter. I don't have an oc yet or anything naturally, but if someone could teach me to rp I could make one and be in ravenclaw pretty please?
I'd name my oc novalee ( which means star field) and she'd be a unicorn.

 

edit: If you'll look at my avatar, i used a pony creator to make what id like my oc to look like. She has a raspberry (couldn't quite get the color right, but its close. I call the color raspberry.) colored body, with black and light pink slightly curly hair. I might change her purple eyes to a different color. Just does not quite work. Cutie mark would be a quill with a slightly rolled up scroll of parchment, because she likes to write fiction and loves to read as well. Um, terribly shy, but smart, likes animals, not at all into sports. Kind of like Hermione mixed with Fluttershy, I guess.

I would personally say that that is a bad idea, as Salazar Slytherin is long since dead. that unless you have the other house founders I don't think it's a good idea to have one of them apart of this roleplay.

 

Salazar Slytherin is a figure of history, a wizard of by gone age and since this takes place 5 years after the events of the books... well how would you justify it?

Perhaps a ghost that made his way back to the school, that's probably the most reasonable explanation. Even then... I don't think it's a very good idea or balanced to allow a player access to one of the school founders.

 

Would he have authority over the headmaster, the other teachers?

Weelll... not as a ghost when it comes to power, which is why I offered is a solution even if there are other problems.

 

As far as I remember I don't think I've read of a single ghost in Harry Potter ever casting a spell, which means one can ask if they even can.

 

Still though, even if we put aside how powerful of wizards and witches the founders were, there's the question of their authority inside the school.

What do you mean by that? The fact that XxConfusedUnicornxX put you on the list?

 

I am simply pointing out the problems with allowing a founder of the school to be a part of this roleplay. Continuity issues and plot holes, roleplay balance, and possible problems.

 

There's quite a bit that needs to consider if a player is allowed to play Salazar Slytherin or any ither school founder. This is an extremely important figure in Hogwart's history as a school, the founders being the equivalent of the royal sisters in this situation. You cannot deny this, and XxConfusedUnicornxX needs to consider this.

if you had read the books and watch the movies , it never said that he died just mysteriously vanished. 

and also the only thing we know truly about salazar is that one he talks to snakes , two he was a founder and three he built the chamber of secretes.  

 

He isn't necessary oped. 

 

Now yes he and the other founders got into an argument whether not those of non magical blood should leave the school but in the end it was Godric who made the final call being head master of Hogworts at the time.  Salazar my be a founder but in the end he has no true authority on how the school should be ran.

So not only would the headmaster have right to question how this founder is alive and why he has returned but also his intentions with the school.

Through all this what I am asking you give more detail, give consideration and reasoning for Salazar Slytherin being a part of all this. That you understand the implications that come such has him not being dead, being the founder of the House know for racism and bringing forth many dark wizards/witches, the maker of the Chamber of Secrets that would bring death or harm to many.

 

Also, I feel it is reasonable to assume that the founders are just as powerful if not more so than Dumbledore and Lord Voldermort... especially after so many years.

If i might add we have no idea of his power or spells yes it's a possibility that he could use his the dark arts to find immortality but think know we have no idea of his age ether he could be a very old man and on top of that i think your over exaggerating Salazar isn't all of that powerful. now Dumbledore learned under Merlin now if you want oped you got it we have no idea how powerful Dumbledore truly is i invoke the half blood prince.

Age is important when considering how powerful witch or wizard is, and if we allow that he is still alive it would mean he found a way to extend his life span... something the books, I cannot speak for the movies, show only the Dark Arts have answers for.

 

Yes, you're correct, in that we have no idea exactly what spells the founders most skilled in or their true power but I feel that only skilled wizards and witches with a wish to pass on their knowledge and magic to others would form a school.

 

Dumbledore was powerful enough for Lord Voldemort to be afraid of him, the most feared Dark Arts wizard in history. So much so few were even willing to speak his name, that I feel speaks volumes for how powerful Dumbledore was.
