Seeking Ponysona Advice (poll included)

This has been my ponysona since I first became a brony in 2011.

 

 

Recently, though, I've been getting some hate because alicorns (and especially zebralicorns) are considered "mary sues" and are looked down on for having "too much" in their designs.

Now, before I go on, let me just say that I wanted to be a zebra to match my main fursona (aardwolf), but I also have a legitimate reason to be an alicorn -- because I'm a royal.  Of course, I'm not an Equestrian royal, and I've been wondering recently if maybe I should change the race of my ponysona because of that.

 

 

Now it all boils down to which traits I'd rather keep in the design and which are unnecessary and should be tossed.  I've considered just being a zebra pony (I was just going to call it a zebra, but the mane and tail don't look very zebra-ish, so I said "zebra pony" to keep people off my back about that) but having an alicorn form that I just use for fun when I want to go all "royal" on stuff.

 

 

 

 

Anyway, here are some pictures I made real quick.  Please look at them and tell me which one you think is best.

I know changing is very hard to do, but I think having a regular zebra pony could be good and I think it all comes down to what you want to do forget about what other people say.

Honestly, solely design wise, the top left one looks the most appealing. Smething about it having no wings or horn, but still looking like a unique and originally designed OC is very nice. I'm not a big fan of characters like your original alicorn zebra pony myself, but that's just my opinion. You do what you want

keep the zebralicorn. I made mine an alicorn for example because I needed something that could handle all the stuff I'd be bringing to equestria knowledge wise. My original oc is op but that can be blamed on his intellect more than the powers he has.

If you still want a Zebralicorn, keep it. If it's essential to your character, then don't change it. Screw what others think.
