This came out of nowhere. I come home only to find out this amazing news. I love the new designs, Sly's in particular. Pants were a nice edition(Daxter would be jealous) Bentley and Murray looked okay, and with Ian James Corlett playing Sly it gives me something to look forward to in two years. Now we just need a Jak movie and then we can make the Sony equivalent of The Avengers.

I'm excited as well I'm glad it looks like they're not going to make a bunch of jokes aimed at an extremely young audience making much more of a child's film :3 I loved the games as a kid and cant wait for sly cooper 5 and the movie :D

All I gotta say is... where is the signature cel-shading?

Otherwise I'm excited, we'll see if the actual movie lives up to the hype. Seems to be a common problem nowadays, either that or the trailer has absolutely nothing to do with the movie.

Personally, I like the full on CGI on approach. It really works for the character design, especially Sly's(who again, has pants)

I love love LOVE Sly Cooper to death. Well, the first 3 games, that is. The newest game, Theives in Time, was OK, but I really didnt like the new style and voices. While the movie trailer looks very good, I dont like how they look, and the voices, once again, I dislike. With the exeption of Bently. But maybe Im wrong and this will end up being really cool. I dont know. We have 2 years to find out.

It's like about ten years too late, but if it gains enough appraisal (which I am not certain on) then I may go see it for nostalgia's sake.

And I find Murray's design to be... interesting. Sly and Bentley turned out pretty good, though. At least this looks better than the upcoming Ratchet and Clank film.

 Ratchet and Clank film.

There is going to be a Ratchet and Clank film? What is this, year of the early 2000 games?

Yes.

Look at that. They're both my the same companies. Not believing that this isn't more than a gimmick for a little extra money.

At least they kept the same look in that one. But Ive never really been a huge Ratchet and Clank fan. Never really got any of the games. I wanted them ,yes, but did I ever get them? No.

I love R&C and Sly Cooper and J&D. They're all favorite childhood games of mine. This is just the effect when companies make films off of childhood pastimes of mine. It's a good marketing technique to introduce new children to the series, but I don't know if the films will appear to be more than merely the target demographic, because there are obviously adults now who were really into Sly Cooper and other PS2 games as children, myself included.

I am knowing better than to get my hopes up. I used to really be into Avatar: The Last Airbender, but the film turned out to be a flop. But, it may be a bit too low to compare this to recent works by M Night Shyamalan.

I can agree with this. It was really bad.

Awwww yeah. Out of the three big platformers of the PS2 Sly has always been my favorite. Sly 4 was so amazing even if it had the same problem as Metal Gear Solid 4 where the levels were way too small in spite of the vastly improved gameplay.

Not so much a fan of Sly's design but I'll get used to it. Glad they are using the same voice actors (or ones close enough one wouldn't tell the difference)

Can't wait. I will theater the shit out of this if I can.

I didn't know there was gonna be a R&C movie though. Will have to check that trailer out too. R&C is easily second place.

Yes.

Cash grab or not that doesn't mean it won't turn out well. The trailers looks like they offer the same ol' stuff from the games which is good news. With great animators to boot? Hellz yeah.

That trailer was hilarious. When they pulled out the Groovitron I couldn't help but love them using one of the weapons from the games.

I really gotta get the other R&C games. I only have the first, Up Your Arsenal and A Crack In Time.

I was a huge fan of Sly growing up though never got around to playing the most recent game, but this, I don't know. I just can't get past the designs, they just don't sit right with me, especially Murray's. I'm almost worried to see what the other characters are going to look like. My only hope is that Clockwork is in it because I cannot get enough of that giant metal owl!
