Babylon 5

Battlestar Gallactica (The reboot is far better than the original, though it does pay homage often enough)

Farscape (Possibly one of the best sci-fi shows, period)

Firefly

SG-1, SG-Atlantis, SG-Universe, Stargate (The movie)

 

These are pretty much the staple shows of the genre and well worth watching, particularly B-5 and Farscape.

Haven and Warehouse 13.  Those shows are good.

To state the ones that others have said already and add some new ones:

Babylon 5 (Praise be unto J. Michael Strazynski)

Firefly

Primeval (Sorta sci-fi, a LOT of fun to watch)

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (Quite possibly the best Science Fiction anime ever made)

Warehouse 13 sounds good

 

I feel like  Warehouse 13 became even better when they introduced Claudia (Allison Scagliotti). Her character adds a little more wit and etc. to the show. Plus... if your a Buffy fan, Jane Espenson is one of the creators of Warehouse 13.

 

I just got into Haven because Netflix finally put Haven on streaming.

 

If you like dark supernatural-y type shows, I'd recommend Being Human (original version. UK version.)

There's an sci-fi series from the 90's called 'Sliders' about a group of four people who get stuck in alternate universes and have to 'slide' through timed wormholes until they can get back to their home version of planet Earth.

 

There is also 'Quantum Leap' from the 80's about a scientist who 'leaps' into another person's body from the past and has to fix whatever wrongs happened in that time period to leap again until he finds his way back home to his own time period as himself.

 

If you are a Superman fan then I would recommend 'Smallville' for you since it's about Clark Kent discovering who he really is and getting used to his powers as he develops new ones and becoming a hero.

Sliders sounds good, my aunt used to watch that. I'll have to try it.

 

I've seen Quantum Leap, it's not bad after I got used to the 80's style.

Also there's a show from the 90s called The X-files. Its amazing and helped inspire Fringe.
