Which Olympic Games: Summer or Winter?

The Japanese Alps encompass the Hida Mountains, the Kiso Mountains and the Akaishi Mountains. These towering ranges include several peaks exceeding 3,000 m (9,843 ft) in height, the tallest after Mount Fuji. The highest are Mount Hotaka at 3,190 m (10,466 ft) and Mount Kita at 3,193 m (10,476 ft). Mount Ontake in Nagano Prefecture, at 3,067 m (10,062 ft), is a destination for pilgrimages as well as an active volcano, having erupted most recently in 1979 and 1980.

I prefer the Winter Olympics, and I would want the next Winter Olympics to be held in Switzerland

That's a close second for me. And I feel like Switzerland will be on the board for the next winter Olympics anyhow... just a hunch.

Not unfounded I assure you It might be the 2022 Winter Olympics, but to my knowledge there has NEVER been an Olympic games of any kind held in Switzerland... which I think will put it on the board, not to mention the plentiful amount of choices for hosting locations to be had.

Pyeongchang, South Korea is hosting the next winter Olympics, the winter/summer Olympics are decided two games in advance, so I'm referring to the next UNDECIDED winter Olympics (so before I get slammed for that, I corrected it)

Oh okay. Then, I guess I'll wait until then for them to decide on the Winter Olympics in the future.

I prefer the Summer Olympics, but that's probably because I live near a city that held the summer games in 1996. If I had to choose where the next Winter Olympics would be held, I'd probably say Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Winter Olympics are gorgeous, more often than not; what with all the skiing in the mountains and stuff. I have to say that I prefer the summer ones though, 'cause swimming is on!

 

Oh, and I would like the Olympics to be held in a city that's ready to host them, and also doesn't have any terrorist threats. *cough*Sochi*cough*

I actually have a theory as to WHY there isn't a Switzerland games... and honestly I don't think there will be. 

1. Switzerland is well off

explanation(1):They have no reason for the economic boom that temporarily comes with the games.

2.Switzerland is a play-it-safe country. 

explanation(2):Terrorist threats are not exactly something Switzerland will want to deal with, and the type of cross-heirs that comes with hosting the games--pair that with the type of target you gain as the world's most peaceful country... someone's gonna want to take you down.

I honestly think that if the whole "terrorist" thing didn't exist than they would DEFINITELY host! But who knows... I'm not the collective of Switzerland, so who can really say.

Yeah. Maybe they will get their chance to host or maybe they won't, we'll have to see.
