What Do You Reckon Would Happen If You Ended Up In Equestria?

So, here's the basic story:

You woke up from your sleep and realised that you weren't in your bedroom anymore. You look around, and find that you're in some form of desert, with no supplies other than whatever you were sleeping in.

The desert you are in turns out to be nearby Appleoosa. What do you do?

Note: the desert that you are in stretches for about 25 kilometres in each direction, so a length and width of approx 50 kilometres. And you are smack-dab in the middle of it...

What do you do, Brony?

I don't think I'd do well in Appleoosa and assuming I'm a pony I'd get on the train in Appleoosa and find another place to go I'd fit in better at, I don't think Manehatten or Canterlot either. I know it's pretty stereotypical but Ponyville seems like a place I'd fit in the most. When I got there I guess I would try to start a life and since I'm training to be a psychologist try to be the Ponyville psychologist, heaven knows they need one :P.

Sounds smart. But then again, what about the train tickets? You'd need cash that you don't have...

And being a psychologist should be easy judging by Equestria's schooling ways.

Hmm I didn't even think about the money, I guess I am staying Appleoosa for a bit until I get the bits for it. Maybe I could get a job at the cherry farm ;)

It would be easy if you were a Pegasus, even unicorns would have an easier time.

Gotta feel 'sorry for a lost in the desert' earth pony.

If you actually took the time to read my forum post, I thank

Sounds good!

There is the question of why you'd need to be a psychologist. Sorry if I got the terms mixed up, but last time I checked, none of the Ponyvillians looked as if they needed mental help... :/

Not like abnormal mental disorders, but if people needed rectification between disputes or had a problem they just wanted to talk about therapy is always a good option.

Earth ponies have a great amount of endurance though, and their legs won't get tired for a long time. They will also be able to last longer in the desert, as their hydration will not be spent on the energy of passively releasing the magic to allow the pegasus to fly with such small wings. The unicorns would fare the worst out there, actually. That is, unless they have a water summoning/finding spell. Long distance teleportation will help greatly, but that is a very hard spell to master, and only some ponies can learn certain spells anyway...

Ah, yep. The ponies might actually have traumas and stuff too. For example: The bunny census w/Applejack. Those ponies acted a bit traumatised... :/

I was considering that they start full hydrated.

Then a Pegasus could fly out of the desert, a unicorn could use some type of travel spell, even a teleport if they are good enough, an earth pony would make it as well probably, but they'd have to just walk, which would suck

Yes walking sucks. Wait. No it doesn't! You trick me! :P

I wouldn't mind. Not saying that I'd rather be an earth pony, though.

Urgh... *shivers* just looked at the clock and got a chill down my spine. It's 11:11pm...

I'd look for something tall to climb up on, like a mountain or an abandoned tower. From there, I would be able to look down and get a good view of the horizon. Hopefully, if the conditions are good, I'd find water or civilization--in this case, Appleoosa.

I'd adapt quickly and normally to the most settling place in equestria, ponyville.

And of course, I'll settle to rarity's place, knowing her as the most generous and greatest pony, I would be down at going to her help first. :D

Good idea, but how do you think she'll react to seeing a filthy alien at her doorstep?

Meet you at rare's, after I it up 'shy as she'd also be one likely to take in a poor soul.

Depending on all the details and such I'd do whatever I could to adapt then make my way to ponyville and see if I could get some assistance from twi in getting an audience with the other princesses to clarify my intentions and maybe have them find a way to help the equestrians (if need be) adapt to such a strange creature (or at least crazy sounding pony).

I think pity would be the general reaction. While yes, they don't know whether I'd be friend or foe, I'd be in pretty rough shape after trying to escape the desert.

Next I'd try to make my way to ponyville (I like small towns and hate hot climates) and try to get to know Pinkie Pie. She knows pretty much everyone, so she would be a big help.

If I am human, I'd die of dehydration before making it the 15 miles to civilization.

Well maybe not. An average person can walk 3 miles per hour. I don't know how hot Appleloosa can get, but if it's as hot as Death Valley there have been records of people dying within 5 hours unprepared.

So assuming I am fully hydrated, I can make it through the desert within 5 hours. So if the conditions are LESS severe than Death Valley, I could survive, but only barely.

From there I would definitely have to try and convince somepony that I could be of use to earn a few bits necessary in order to buy a ticket to Ponyville. I would choose Ponyville because that is the place whose characters I'm most familiar with. So I can appeal to their sensibilities, especially Applejacks or Fluttershys, to put me to work so that I can at least earn my keep.

I wouldn't be able to do Big McIntosh levels of work, but I think I can definitely help out with infrastructure and other community related set ups.

From there, I would probably cry myself to sleep most nights as I'd miss my wife and son. Ponies would wonder what is wrong with me and I'd be honest with them. As I simultaneously break every heart in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle works her magic to bring my family to me and we live happily ever after. lol.

I see this as a desert survival situation where your goal is to reach civilization before dying. Which makes this fairly easy considering the circumstances. First thing is to evaluate myself and the situation. I am well rested, but are a little low on fluids, and on an empty stomach. it is just over a days walk but in this desert I will die of dehydration before that. Since it's morning and the cooler part of the day, I will head towards the edge of the mountains where there will be water, shade, and more resources. After walking for several hours I will stop during the hot part of the day to find shade. I will be forced to drink my own urine as it may be the only source of water. If I come across any scorpions or snakes they will become breakfast. If i come across any cactus I will break them open to gain access to the moisture inside. when the sun begins to set I will move farther and hope to find shelter. If I'm lucky i can make fire using a hand drill so as to cook any snake I've found. I may not be able to hold much food down due to my level of dehydration. The fire however will keep me warm, which is very important, due to temperatures dropping drastically after dark, posing a threat of hypothermia. In the morning with some effort I can make it to to the river that empties out into the desert through ghastly gorge. from there I will refresh, and continue to appleoosa, making it somewhere around midday. mission accomplished.

If I'm in Equestria, then that means that I'm either dreaming, or I died in my sleep and God decided to reincarnate me and send me to Equestria for some odd reason. It'd be cool if I wasn't a pony or human; but a SAIYAN. What I'd do first is make sure I'm not dreaming, then I'd find a cave our something to stay in, get a job at the cherry farm or something, save up for decorations for my cave, food, and train tickets, then I'd take my things with me to Ponyville and move to a nearby cave (because chances are there won't be any houses for sale in Ponyville).

Thanks to WheatleyCore for the sig! BTW, yes, I do realize that's Carnage and not Shenron.
