Rin skids backwards, trying to avoid the ice.  She managed to avoid a direct hit this time, unlike with the thunderbolt, but it was still a very cold evasion.  Shivering as she gets her bearings back, the girl glances at the hand she had managed to strike the man with.  She was surprised to see blood on her fingers - her hand was more akin to a knife or a spear than an actual hand thanks to the transformation into an attack forme she had done earlier.

 

I managed to hit him...  I managed to draw blood.  He's not invincible, just really strong...  She glances at the two who had shown up to help.  At least they'd helped so far - based on the ways they'd shown up she assumed they also followed legendaries, and hopefully they would be able to get along at least long enough to deal with mister 'burn everything to the ground'.  Calling out to the other two, Rin starts to run back in.  So far it seemed as though close quarters combat was going to be her best option.

 

"Get me close to him - I'll handle the rest!"  She really hoped that they would help out her plan...  Because the way the man fought and the way his pokemon protected him, she was going to need the help.  "Eve, Sand Attack!"  As the Eevee starts to kick up another cloud of dust Rin dives into it, hoping to stay out of sight for as long as possible until she was close enough to strike again.

Upon hearing someone speak by the door, Mason's first reaction was to turn rapidly and hold out his hand.  He shot a mind-numbing wave of void energy out of his palm towards the door before even registering who had spoken - not a strong power considering how new he was to his abilities, but he had hoped to catch the intruder off guard with it.

 

As he recognizes Renee he smirks behind his scarf.  Mason didn't believe in coincidences - if she was here too, there was a good chance she followed a different legendary.  He knew she wasn't one to select Darkrai - she didn't seem the type.  "Banshee, Shadow Ball!"  The Froslass which had been floating off to the side of the room responds by launching the attack towards the doorway.

Cedric just barely missed the brunt of the attack, but the beam managed to hit his left arm. It was covered in ice and could barely move. Getting his bearings, he nods at the girl. She seemed most likely to be able to take him down. He tried thinking of something to do quick and began running towards a nearby apricot tree. "Leafeon try Grasswhistle again! Whimsicott use Fairy Wind!" As his Pokemon acted, Cedric put his hand on the Apricot tree and concentrated. Come on come on! Please! Suddenly, the tree started growing gigantic with tons of fruit falling out. As he tried to mentally get the roots to go under the ground and rise up to trap the man again, he started throwing the apricorns as hard as he could at the crazy guy.

Cedric's assumption was right as the man burnt the grass trap as quickly as it had warped around him. "Heh-heh, you really think simple grass can-AHHG." While the Genesect follower was trying to quip at Cedric, Rin was able to land a hit. "Lucky shot." he said before blasting the two with ice. Meanwhile Scizor had protected his master from Sekel's attacks but not before getting hit with Whimsicott's Stun Spore. Magneton avoided the GrassWhistle from Leafeon and retaliated with a Tri Attack.

As Comet entered Route 35 she could see some Pidgey perched on a tree along with a single Pigdeotto. There was also an Abra asleep next to some bushes and a couple Nidoran♂ roughhousing. Farther down the route were a couple trainers going about their usual business and a young man who for some reason was asleep in the middle of the route.

 

"HEY!" Victini yelled out as soon as Jared touched the statue. "Finally someone smart enough to pick me!" the small Pokemon said energetically. "So since you picked me there are a few things you gotta know." he started. "First off you must succeed at every, and I do mean every, challenge presented to you. I'm all about winning and you gotta be awesome enough to do the same." Victini said. Despite being a legendary Pokemon, Victini was quiet childlike and energetic. "There are of course perks to winning all the time. For example you can manifest your victories into anyone or anything you want. Also you have increased luck which helps you win. The more you win the higher you luck gets which means you have an even higher chance of winning your next challenge!" the fire type said very excited. "Finally you can burn of your victories and get a HUGE burst of energy, making you so hot it's like your on fire though it won't hurt you" Following suit, Jared started to fade like the others. "Leaving already? Then I should make this quick." Victini then started speaking much faster. "Just make sure you don't lose any challenges or deny any of them. You can't get better unless you win right? Anyway you should be awaking up along Route 35 in Johto. You can do whatever you want but I would suggest finding a challenge and winning." With that Jared found himself on Route 35 just like Victini said.

 

 

Jared woke up. The air was oddly fresh, and it was... just too warm here. Sitting up, he cricked his neck and stood, looking around in momentary confusion. Then, moments later, he recognized the iconic cityscape to the south. There's the radio tower, and there's the GTS, and there's the Bullet Train. This was Johto... Which means that dream was probably real.

 

There was an intense battle going on near where he had woken up, which unusually excited him. And there was another trainer approaching. Unsure what to do, he chose to lounge a bit and just observe, see what was going on. Make judgement of the situation. All that tosh.

 

When the elevator door opened Leon saw Taylor waiting for him there making him jump a little. "Er...Hello there." he said nervously. "If you'll excuse me I have some...business to attend to." Leon pushed Taylor aside as he walked by, his Porygon2 following. Leon sensed something odd about the boy. He knew he was a follower of one of the other gods though couldn't decide which one.

"Oh. It's just," Taylor said mildly, "Something happened downstairs just now. And you came from there. What was that all about?" He winced a little as alarm shot through Renee downstairs, and he longed to dash to her side, but he had to trust her to handle it. "Anything I can do?" he offered, really unsure what to say as he trotted along behind Leon. This guy seemed kinda solitary.

Renee ducked under the wave and leapt over the Shadow Ball, seemingly effortlessly. It was as if she had known they were coming. In retaliation, she chucked a small book from a shelf at the sleeping man, hoping to wake him up. "Is this how you say hi to pretty girls where you're from?" she asked cheekily.

Mason let the book hit him instead - this was important work, and he was going to keep it going.  This would be a good test, to see how well he could maintain the nightmare while dealing with a distraction...

 

"And which of the fools do you follow?"  The fact that she'd barely reacted to his attack had given all the confirmation that he needed that she was also a disciple.  That meant that her twin likely was as well...  But, her brother wasn't there right now.  If their powers are somehow related, the fact that she's alone could put me at an advantage right now...

 

"This doesn't concern you, girl.  Darkrai has commanded that I bring suffering to this world - you'll not interfere."  Tugging on one of his gloves to make sure it was still securely on after trying that void blast before, he points his palm at Renee again.  "Leave now, and I won't haunt your dreams tonight."

"Seriously, Serperior? I thought I trained you good enough to listen to orders." Comet said, as she walked angrily towards Serperior, noticing the person had awoken. The bit of Comet's hair that was held up in a ponytail by a braided piece of hair had at this point fallen down from all the hassle she had gone through today. Though the rest of her outfit stayed neat, the trainer seemed to make it a point to fidget with her purple hair every few seconds. 

 

Noting the male company Comet now hand, Serperior instinctively coiled around her. Covering Comet's mouth with her tail, much like a fan. "My apologies for waking you. My pokemon is usually much better behaved." Comet said, calmly, though just moments ago her voice was both frantic and livid.

Seeing the giant apricorns coming his way, the man quickly burns them all with fire. "Stop wasting my time. Magneton, Lock-On to nature boy over there and use Zap Cannon!" the Magneton buzzes and locks it's crosshairs onto Credric before firing a rather big ball of electricity at him. However while it is distracted the Magneton is hit by the GrassWhislte and falls asleep while Scizor shrugs off the Fairy Wind, still trying to hold of Rin's Pokemon. The Genesect follower remains unaware of the apricorn tree's roots during all this.

 

 

 

"Oh. It's just," Taylor said mildly, "Something happened downstairs just now. And you came from there. What was that all about?" He winced a little as alarm shot through Renee downstairs, and he longed to dash to her side, but he had to trust her to handle it. "Anything I can do?" he offered, really unsure what to say as he trotted along behind Leon. This guy seemed kinda solitary.

"Uh-oh did he see me push those guards away?" Leon thought. "N-no, no I'm fine. What I'm doing doesn't concern you." he says, looking for some sort of laboratory. He wasn't really sure what Mewtwo wanted him to find but he assumed it was some new invention Silph Co. was working on.

Cedric breathes a sigh of relief and looks at the girl. "NOW!" he yells, throwing up his hands. Giant roots billowed up from the ground and wrapped around him. Hopefully they would be thick enough to last longer than the grass so the girl could get to him. Cedric's power seemed to be a little stronger than it should be, but it might have been because of what place the man was destroying. Cedric was desperate to make this man stop.

 

Revvy stood against the wall of the alley and tousled his purple hair a bit. "That didn't really help much. ALthough that place kind of looked familiar... Welp! Maybe I should head back down, see where the town back there is. Never even been to Goldenrod before. Got no idea where I am... Come on Dragonair. And you too Lazybones." Revvy kicked the Pokemon forward a bit and the it bubbled in protest, but obeyed him and started going forward.

"Yeah, you'll leave my dreams alone, but haunt everyone else in the city. Right?" Renee said, purposely avoiding his first question. "I'd say that preventing suffering is part of my job description, so-" She threw another book towards the janitor, still trying to wake the thrashing man without giving away her position as an Eon devotee. "-so Darkrai can keep his nightmares to himself."

"Listen, nevermind what happened downstairs, then," Taylor said hastily, sensing the urgency coming from Renee. "I'd actually ask you a favor. Something big's going on downstairs, and it's getting out of control. If you help us, I'll try and help you find... Whatever it is you're looking for."
 
He could just tell that the dude was searching.

"It's all alright." Jared's voice was deep and measured, somewhat reassuring, but somewhere deep, underlying it, was a edge of excitement. "Maybe it's just feeling restless." Or maybe he was talking about himself, he wasn't quite sure. He straightened his tie, unconcernedly, as he sat lazily on the grass, watching the two battling trainers.

Sekel nodded his undetstanding. He stepped forwards and concentrated. Splaying his left palm out towards the man's hand, he shot out a weak antimatter attack. It was only powerful enough to melt half a finger but it will get the job done. He called out to Gourgeist. "Gourgeist, use Energy Ball. Haunter, use Sucker Punch!" Gourgeist fired a ball of green energy at his Scizor while Haunter Sucker Punched Magneton.

Well, now, this was certainly a nice change of pace. Instead of someone tackling her as an introduction, this man was quite nice in his introduction to Comet. It was odd, though. He didn't look like the kind of person that would be lying around in the dirt. He was quite proper clothed. 

 

Serperior smiled at the man and uncoiled from around Comet, offering her tale to help him up. "That may be so..." Comet said, calmly. "But, I still must apologize. Erm. May I ask what you're doing? On the ground, that is."

Not really having any details as to what he was supposed to be doing, Silas pretty much just started patrolling the town, looking for anything suspicious or, failing that, anyone he could help. The more he thought about it, the more he was glad to have met someone like Mr Fuji. Such a kind-hearted man could perhaps make for an ally in the future.

"Oh. I... Um... I dunno. Must have nodded off." He stood up, accepting the helping tail offered by Serperior, brushed off his jeans, and looked around. "Nice day, you know?" He said. Then, peering thoughtfully at the stranger, he said, "I'm Jared, by the way. Who are you? What's up?"

He checked his pocket quickly, simply to make sure his pokeballs were still there. Almost compulsively.

At Cedric's cry of 'NOW', Rin burst from the dust cloud that her Eevee had kicked up at a sprint towards where the roots were wrapping around the Genesect follower.  Crying out wordlessly, Rin lunges forward and thrusts both of her knife-like hands in between two of the gaps in the roots.

Mason would again move to intercept the book with his own body, firing another wave of null energy at Renee as she continues to attempt to interfere.  "Hmpf, a liar attempting to keep the world blind, then."  Mason stares directly at the girl, the look in his eyes completely serious.  "Suffering is this world's only truth.  To try and prevent it is to turn a blind eye to others."

 

His gaze shifts briefly to his Froslass.  "Banshee, bar the door with Ice Beam.  Our work here is righteous - we can't let her interfere."  As the pokemon starts to fire the attack towards the door, Mason turns his gaze to stare at Renee again.  "Only by sharing in pain will this world become unified."  Reaching with one hand towards the janitor trapped in a nightmare, the man's thrashing seems to get worse.  "This is just the first step, and I won't let you stop me here.  Darkrai, give me strength..."

Catching him by surprise the roots sprang up, trapping the Genesect follower in their grasp. "W-what!? I'll get out...of....this." he said struggling to use his powers. Before the man could escape, however, he was hit by Rin's attack, which stabbed straight though his chest. He fell to the ground as the vines released him. "Heh...he-a-AHHA...You think you've w-won? Fools. This...is just...the...beginning..." He trailed off at the end as he finally died. Meanwhile his Pokemon were caught off guard by Sekel's attacks, knocking them out.

"Whatever it is I'm sure you can handle it." Leon said coldly. "After all you are a follower of Latios." Leon said half guessing. He too sensed what was going on downstairs and since one of the life signs was so similar to this guy's it only made sense that he and his alleged partner followed to Eon Duo. "Besides, my mission is for the greater good. The needs of the many..." For some reason Leon felt a bit arrogant, at least more than he usually did. Whatever happened do this guy and his partner didn't concern him as he only wanted to get what he needed and get out.

Sekel called Gourgeist and Haunter back to his side as walked over to the dead body. He was still slightly breathing heavily from the exhiliration of the battle. "What did he mean by 'this is just the beginning'?" Sekel asked the other two. He crouched down to rot the roots away to nothing with antimatter. Even in death, they didn't have to be restrained against their will.

 

Blinking quite rapidly, Indigo placed her hands to her head and breathed deeply. 'That was some weird mojo right there. Why the hell is Arceus in my dream!? I mean. it's a great honor and all but why? And now I have to save the world by choosing a legendary?' She paced around each pillar while panicking about her choice. She saw a few ethereal figures touch the pillars. Finally heading over to the one that was her most favourite, she placed her palm upon the pillar that depicted a fearsome Rayquaza.

Their words weren't registering in Rin's mind - she was too busy staring at her blood covered hands.  Trembling slightly as she stared at them, Rin starts to change out of the Attack Forme and back to how she regularly looked.  Her fingers were still covered in blood, even though they didn't form a spear the way they had before.

 

"I...  I killed him...  I hadn't meant to kill him..."  She had never killed before!  Sure he had been hurting innocent people, and Deoxys had ordered her to kill anyone in her way...  But...  But she hadn't expected it to happen so suddenly, if it did at all!

 

Rin fell to her knees, starting to feel light-headed.  She looks briefly to the two boys who had helped her in the fight...  Before collapsing to her side.  The forme changes had greatly sped up her metabolism, and now that the adrenaline was wearing down she felt absolutely drained.  She hoped that they weren't disciples to anything as vicious as Genesect, because there was little chance she would be able to defend herself in this state.

 

As their trainer collapses Rin's pokemon immediately run over to stand over her protectively.  The Ditto changes to match Cedric's Leafeon and the little Eevee stares at both of the boys, the fur around her eyes still a dark red colour from when Rin had tested her powers earlier.

Sekashi rubbed her eyes and looked around she was certanly not expecting this she was speechless she then looked at the pillars she then head over to her favorite the pillar that depicted Zekrom and placed her palm on it she's not sure what would happen she expects to get woken up or something.

After staring at the fallen body for a minute, Sekel's brain kicked into overdrive. He rushed to the girl's side, ignoring her pokemon, and picked her up. He grunted at her weight. Looking over at the boy who made the grass grow, Sekel asked, "You, leaf-boy, Is there anyplace where we can take her so that she's safe?"

Renee sighed. "That really is disappointing. Spouting typical super-villain nonsense." She giggled feebly. "Well, I hate to do it, but..." She pulled a pokeball out of her pocket, and flicked her wrist. "I guess I haven't much of a choice, do I? Go on, Bee."

 

Renee's Flaaffy, Beacon, or 'Bee', stood facing down the Froslass. "'Fraid that door is gonna have to stay open," Renee grinned, kicking it open even farther.

 

"Whatever it is I'm sure you can handle it." Leon said coldly. "After all you are a follower of Latios." Leon said half guessing. "I... I'm not even going to ask." How does he know that? "But, even Mewtwo devotees must know that one can not always work alone. Two is part of the name, is it not?" Taylor sighed. "Do whatever it is you must do. Just... Try not hurting more people than you can help. Physical pain brings emotional trauma as well." Taylor shook his head. "I have to go help my sister. Good luck with whatever you're doing, and godspeed." With that, Taylor flew to the staircase, withdrawing Togetic, and disappearing down it.

"Oh. That's quite a lovely name. I'm Comet." Comet said, smiling at the man. With his friendly disposition there was no point in being hostile towards him. "As for 'what's up', I'm heading off to Ecruteak right now. Hopefully I'll find some pokemon there that show interest in me or the other way around..." Jared then checked his pocket for something. Something that appeared to be spherical by how he moved his hand. Such an act probably meant he was a trainer. Comet's curiosity immediately made her ask if he was. "Oh. Are you a trainer, perchance?"

Mason smirks behind his scarf, focusing to build up the null-energy for another blast in his hand.  "And it's just as typical to label those who see the world with a different light as evil."  Mason raises his hand again...  Before moving to point it at the old man in the bed rather than at Renee.

 

"Banshee, fire a Shadow Ball at the ground!"  Darkrai had instructed him to keep a low profile, and as such Mason had no intention of standing around to fight.  At least not until he was more powerful.  As his pokemon followed through his orders he fired the null energy at the janitor.  The old man stopped his thrashing finally, though some could argue the limp way he layed now was worse.

 

"Return."  As he brought the Froslass back into her Dusk Ball, Mason was already starting to sink back into the wall as a shadow.  Staring at Renee as he sinks into the shadow, Mason mutters quietly "Don't fret, he's not dead.  I have no intentions on killing..."

"The time has come Indigo." Rayquaza said. "You must bring balance and stop the forces of earth and water from colliding. In order to do this I will grant you several abilities that will grow stronger with with time and favor." the great dragon explains. "The first of these abilities will be the power to bend air to your will. Next you will be able to see great distances. With enough favor you will even be able to look into space, nothing will escape your view." Indigo then starts to fade as she awakens. "Lastly you can change the gases around you into any other gas you please. The only taboo you will have is to never pollute the air. When you awaken you will be in Mahogany Town. I wish you the best of luck on your quest." With that Indigo awakes up.

Sekashi rubbed her eyes and looked around she was certanly not expecting this she was speechless she then looked at the pillars she then head over to her favorite the pillar that depicted Zekrom and placed her palm on it she's not sure what would happen she expects to get woken up or something.

"Greetings human. As you may know I am the Dragon of Ideals, Zekrom." the black dragon says. "Picking me means you will be tasked with creating a utopia. It will not be an easy job but your new powers should aid you." he says. "First you will be able to zap anyone who disagrees with you or tries to stop you. You will also know what this utopia shall look like and can share this image with others. Finally you may combine with Reshiram and Kyurem followers. However if your minds do not match the combine will fail and both followers will die." Zekrom explains as Sekashi fades. "You will wake up on Route 42 near Ecruteak City. Do what you can to achieve your ideals no matter what the cost." Sekashi then fades completely and finds herself on Route 42.

"Dammit." Leon said with a sigh. "Porygon, follow him and help him in whatever way you can." The artificial Pokemon nods and speeds off in the direction Taylor ran.

Sekashi blinked a few times before standing up "woah that dream was actually real?" she said to herself she then took out a pokeball and sented out her Luxray "well Lucy looks like were going Ecruteak City to do whatever Zekrom wants us to do so keep an eye out for any trouble that might come in our way and maybe from Ecruteak City we can go to Mahhogany town " the Luxray nodded and followed Sekashi as she made her way to Ecruteak City.

Waking up felt great. Indigo stretched her arms and legs and looked around at Mahogany Town. 'Mahogany Town!? It wasn't a dream? Okay, this just became seriously real.' Indigo thought to herself. She got up and dusted herself off. She checked to make sure that everything was still in place. After making sure, shebrought her Fletchinder and Emolga. Indigo looked to the huge expanse of forest that's just outside Mahogany. Without moving and freaking out from her place beside a blue house, she could see strands of bark. Individual strands. It was almost as if she was standing right in front of the tree.

 

"Enough gazing and let's get to work. Hmm. Since I can't seem to find anything here, I may as well head over to Ecruteak. What do you think Flame and Betty?" She asked her pokemon. The two seemed to think about it for a moment before coming to a decision. They both pointed down the road towards Ecruteak. "It's settled then." She picked Emolga up to place her one her shoulder, while Fletchinder flew to land on top of her beret. Smiling, Indigo headed towards Ecruteak City.

Cedric slowly walked over to the two of them, chipping the ice off of his arm, head hanging. His hair had fallen out of it's neat ponytail and was now matted against his face. He looked back up at Sekel at the "Leaf-boy" comment and glared at him with his red, wet eyes. "Now's not the time. Give her here." His voice cracked and he sniffed once as he took Rin out of Sekel's arms. "Follow me," he ordered in a hoarse voice. He walked all the way to the shrine in the Ilex, since there wasn't much left in Azalea, and placed Rin in front of it. He opened the doors to the shrine, where he kept different medical supplies in case the Pokemon got hurt. He sat down cross legged and waited for Rin to wake up so he could ask if she had any injuries.

Revvy strolled casually onto Route 34, keeping an eye out for any interesting Pokemon.
