Rin blinks as the Honedge moves to attack before reacting as quickly as she could.  With the way the Bisharp was prepared to protect the Honedge, she instead went for the closer target - Mister Fuji.  Throwing her arms around the old man, Rin starts to change into her defense forme for the first time.  Her skin grows harder as she tries to defend the old man from the attack.

 

Her forme change happened just in time as she feels the honedge's attack strike her back, causing her to cry out in pain.  It still hurt - it wasn't lethal the way it would have been otherwise, but it was still painful.  Grabbing Mister Fuji, Rin tries to leap away while dropping her second pokeball.  As it hits the ground a flash of light is released, the small pink blob of the Ditto visible for just a moment before it transforms into a copy of the Honedge.

 

 

Mason

Mason quietly slips into a side street, returning Froslass to her dusk ball.  He was aiming to slip away during the confusion in the streets - he had already drawn far more attention than he intended to.  I hadn't counted on other disciples interfering so soon...  I've barely had an opportunity to test my abilities so far.

Gourgeist felt like it's arms were being ripped to shreds. Retreating with Shadow Sneak Gourgeist waited for the right moment.

 

Haunter heard Gourgeist's cry and went to find him but realised he had used Shadow Sneak. "Haunt!" Haunter got angry and learnt a new move. It shot a Curse at Bisharp. 

 

"Rin!" Sekel leaped towards Rin and pushed to the nearvy window. Making it ripple, he pushed both Rin and Mr. Fugi into the Distortion World. "Stay there. Don't you dare move from that spot. I would hate to have to try and find the two of you." With taht, Sekel closed the connection and turned to his enemy. Gathering anti matter in both hands, Sekel lunged towards him and placed both his hands on Cain's arms.

"This again!?" Cain also grabbed hold of Sekel's arms. He began to drain Sekel's lifeforce while constantly and immediately healing himself at with it. This put both the Disciples in a nasty situation, Cain could not regenerate as fast as he was being damaged, yet Sekel was also losing lifeforce.

 

Both Disciples were now locked in a deadly yet even hold, neither of them refusing to back down despite the damage being done to them both.

 

Meanwhile, Honedge took advantage of Haunter's distraction and slashed towards him with a Night Slash. While Bisharp fell to his knees, the pain of the curse shooting through his body.

As much as she hated it, Renee couldn't exactly follow Mason in that crude sense. Instead, she moved to the limp figure of the janitor, and checked his pulse. He was still breathing, but he didn't look like he was.  Taylor whirled into the room the second the shadow disappeared from the window, closely followed by a Porygon2, oddly enough. With one shared, significant look, Taylor moved, picked up the dying man, and fled the room, ignoring the cries of Silph employees in the lobby. He was much faster and stronger than Renee. He'd get that janitor to the Pokemon Center soon enough, and then maybe he'd look for Mason. Renee smiled at Porygon2. "Where'd you come from? Are you going with him? Or back upstairs?" Renee started up the way Taylor had just come from, to presumably help the Mewtwo follower like Taylor had promised.

"PORYGON!" the Pokemon said in a, somewhat loud, robotic voice before smiling back. [Or whatever Porygon2's equivalent is]  He answered Renee's question by following the same path Taylor took in an attempt to catch up.

 

Something resembling a bolt of electricity rushes by Renee on her way up. When she arrives she could see that Leon had just incapacitated the last scientist. [as well as a few guards.] "Now just what is this suppose to be?" he said to himself as he looked at the machine the scientists were working on. It looked like a doorway of sorts and Leon saw it form some sort of portal when it was powered on. Though it flickered and he couldn't tell where it lead. Upon further inspection he found what looked like the blueprints for this machine. "Interesting." Leon said as he put it in his bag. As he left the room he encountered Renee. "Oh hello there. I take it your that boy's partner?" he said in a snarky manor.

Crying out as she hits the ground in the Distortion World, Rin releases Mister Fuji as she changes back into her regular forme.  Her back was bleeding from where the Honedge had cut her, but there wasn't much she could do about it now.  Swaying slightly she falls back to the ground, left with little choice but to wait for Sekel to let her out of the other world.

 

Meanwhile, back in Mister Fuji's house, Rin's pokemon were panicked by the sudden disappearance of their trainer.  In response Ditto - still transformed into Honedge - began wildly slicing at the battling pokemon indiscriminately.  Eevee responded towards the trainers instead - the one who had hurt her Rin, and the one who had made her vanish!  The little pokemon proceeded to fire Swift at both trainers - they were too close to each other to have bothered aiming at just one of them anyways...  Even if the Eevee had wanted to.

Sekel panicked as he felt his lifeforce being drained but on the plus side, at least he was damaging Cain at the same time. He groaned when he was hit with Swift. "Argh! Eevee, Ditto, listen to me! Your trainer is safe. She's safe!" Trying to get the pokemon to calm down, he let a connection form but it was only for viewing. No travelling. "See!?" With a massive effort, he gripped even more tightly onto Cain's arms and lifted himself to be horizontal. Kicking out at Cain, he let go and dropped to the floor.

 

Gourgeist thought that this was the right time. He launched himself at the incpacitated Bisharp with an Energy Ball. Meanwhile, Haunter and Unown were trying to battle both Honedges. They didn't know which was which.

"Bisharp..." Cain struggled to speak as he tried to make it to his feet, "Iron Defense, defend yourself, anything..." He had to lean on a nearby table in order to pull himself to his feet. Using up more lifeforce he began to regenerate, laughing in a cocky manner at the other trainer. "Now do you see how futile it is... Yveltal cannot be denied. I-" ​He was interrupted by a very sharp pain in his eye, he looked into another piece of glass, to find the iris around his right eye completely gone. No more life force, I'm in better condition than him but, who knows what other tricks this one hides up his sleeves.

 

Using the last of his will, Bisharp managed to put up a defense against the Energy Ball. Luckily for him grass type moves aren't as effective, otherwise it would've knocked him out cold. Instead he was flung against the wall.

 

Honedge, seeing an opportunity, flashed away using Shadow Sneak once again, leaving the fake one to fight the Haunter, it helped Bisharp to its feet, who in turn both helped Cain up.

 

"We'll meet again... Count on that," Cain coughed as he and his Pokemon attempted to retreat.

Eevee and Ditto both rushed towards the window that Sekel had opened up.  However, being able to see their wounded trainer and being unable to reach her didn't help matters much.  Ditto again started swinging itself wildly towards the Haunter and Gourgeist, while Eevee rushed towards Sekel with quick attack to attempt and bite him.  Both pokemon firmly believed they were rescuing their trainer from the strange boy who had trapped her on the other side of the window.

"Hopefully we won't meet again." Shakily getting up, he struggled to hold up the pokeballs that would allow his pokemon to return. They would all need a good rest after this encounter. Trying his hardest to ignore the biting Eevee, he went up to the window and touched it allowing travel between dimensions. After doing so, he began to fall backwards in a faint. Before he hit the floor, he said, "That was fun." When and if both Rin and Mr. Fuji cross it, then the portal will immediately close after and not before.

"We must lay low for a while," Cain spoke to his Pokemon as they head out of the town, trying to attract as little attention as possible. "The authorities may be keeping an eye on Fugi for a while, but we cannot let that get in the way of Yveltal's wishes."

 

Cain led his group south, into route 12. His Honedge gave him a questioning look, though the master was too busy with his thoughts to notice. That other one in the building, he was strong, so I'll just have to be stronger! He snapped back into reality, meeting the eye of his Pokemon. Looking out towards the woodland areas of route 12, he gave the answer the Honedge was looking for. "I need more lifeforce before I go back, so we are to prey on little things, little Pokemon from now on, that and it will prove excellent training for my abilities, I need to be able to absorb lifeforce quicker next time."

When was roused by her Eevee tugging on her hair, the tiny pokemon having jumped through the portal in order to rush to her trainer's side.  Wearily trying to push herself up while ignoring the blood soaking her back, Rin pats the Eevee's head with a smile before grabbing Mister Fuji and dragging him back through the portal.  

 

As she falls through on the other side, Rin groans and tries to push herself back upright.  She does manage to return Ditto to his pokeball once he calms down, though she leaves her Eevee out for now.  Ugh...  That hurt more than the Genesect guy did...  Deoxys, is this really what you want me to do?  He's trying...  To get me killed...

 

Using a nearby table to pull herself upright, Rin groans before heading towards the door.  She was trying to make her way to the pokemon center to fetch a nurse - someone had to look after Mister Fuji after all of that, after all.  Not to mention Sekel could probably use some help as well...  Nevermind the large gash in her back.

Suddenly Yveltal's booming voice interrupted Cain's thoughts. "YOU HAVE FAILED ME BOY!" Yveltal said angrily. "That was to be a simple mission to test your abilities, yet you allowed those other fools to stop you." the Destruction Pokemon scolded. "This act shall not go unpunished!" with those words pain shot all throughout Cain's body. "Even know, you desire revenge from the one who follows Giratina." Yveltal chuckles "Heh-heh. Do not worry you will have your chance, but for now you must focus on your next mission. Go to the city of Saffron and look for the one named Henry." he tells Cain as the pain stops. "He is another, much stronger, disciple of mine and will help you on your next mission. Be wary though as followers of other gods are already in the city. Do not let this be a repeat of last time or that Girantina boy will be the least of your problems." Yveltal threatened before leaving Cain with his new orders.

For the first time since the dream, Cain experienced some fragment of the presence of a pure incarnation of death and despite the pain, he enjoyed it. "A you command, my lord." He picked himself up and dusted himself off, before turning to the other two Pokemon. "We have a new mission, we make for Saffron City via route 8..." 

 

He was still distracted by his weakness, and as he pressed on he would purposely go through the wilder areas in order to encounter wild Pokemon. Bringing death prematurely would not gain as much favor from Yveltal as having something killed at the "right time," so if any wild Pokemon were to attack him, it was their destined time to fall.

 

The first Pokemon he was to encounter were but a trio of Pigeys and a Pigeotto, while the latter proved to be some small challenge Bisharp and Honedge were more than a match for them. Instead of leaving them feinted however, he knelt down and stole what tiny amounts of lifeforce they still possessed, before pressing further on.

Sekashi who now has no idea on what to do besides wonder around the National park with her Flygon and Luxray she was sitting a bench. hmm i wonder can i talk to Zekrom and ask him what should i do next? she said in her head she pondered for a moment "hey Zekrom if you can hear me what should i do next?" she thought.

Cedirc had caught up to Revvy, who was chatting up one of the people behind the counter in the pavilion. "...yea well, you know. Saved her from drowning in a whirlpool when she was a Dratini." "That's incredible!" "Yea it is! Hey Cedric, what day is today? Was thinkin about doin the bug catching contest if it's today." "Yea it's uh... crap what day is it?" The two both turned to the girl and raised their eyebrows in questioning.

Indigo happily walked along the route, trying to figure out what to do and where to go. 'Didn't Rayquaza say I would just think and he'd try to talk to me? Well, it's worth a shot. Rayquaza, if you're listening, then can you please guide me in what to do?' Indigo then resumed her tapping and continued walking while shewaited for some sort of answer.

"Let me see." the lady said, checking the calender app on her Poketch. "Ah today is Tuseday. The bug catching contest should actually be starting soon." she tells them.

"There is trouble on Route 38." Rayquazza responded. "The newly built Weather Institute is being attacked by a follower of Kyogre who wishes to use the technology there to help flood the Earth."

"You must aid the follower of Rayquaza, Indigo. I believe you have just met yes?" Zekrom said. "A follower of Kyogre is attacking the new Weather Inistute on Route 38. Our utopia will be impossible should Kyogre or Groudon get what they want." he explains.

"Alright, Rayquaza." Turning on her heel, she headed back towards Ecruteak City. There were four routes there and Indigo knew that Route 38 was one of them. She released Emolga and Fletchinder from their pokeballs to let them rest on her shoulder and head. "Flame, Betty, seems like we're heading to Route 38 to stop one of Kyogre's disciples."

"alright Zekrom " she then stands up from the bench and returns her Luxray back into its Luxury ball "alright Eris looks like we have a new mission". The Flygon seemed a bit exited Sekashi then climbed on to her Flygons back and was on their way to Route 38 well most specificly in search of Indigo.

While walking towards Route 38, Indigo looked up to see how far she could see. She spotted a Flygon flying overhead. It seemed to be looking for something. "Flame, fly up and see if you can talk to it." Fletchinder did as told and flew up to the Flygon. "Fletchinder!" Fletchinder was very excited to see Sekashi on the back of the Flygon. He gestured for Flygon to follow him back down to Indigo.

Cain made his way closer and closer to Saffron city. Shouldn't be long now, and I've stored an ample supply of lifeforce. Cain's right iris had grown to the size of his left one, not even close to filling the eye but more than he'd had at any one time before. Little did he know he was becoming more proficient at absorbing lifeforce each time, obviously the difference was too insignificant to notice but it was still there.

 

"Next time we should be more careful, lest we get attacked by other disciples on the way." Cain sighed to his Pokemon, looking onto the horizon in the direction of his goal.

Revvy nodded and looked back at Cedric. "Bet you I can win first place!" "You're so on!" The two brothers ran into the national park eagerly, returning their Pokemon to their Pokeballs and waited on a bench for the announcement of the start of the contest.

With the little annoyances gone, Comet frowned. They had all gone to the National Park, hadn't they? If Comet wanted to go to Ecruteak, she would have to go through the National Park first. Comet had no intention of bumping into either of the Zekrom or Kyurem followers again, ever again, so avoiding going there would be in her best interests.

 

However, Jared was still here. Comet should probably ask if he wanted to do something specific. "Sooooo..." Comet began. She wasn't used to asking such vague questions. "Is there anything you want to do...?"

"We took on the challenge. Let's go look for fire pokemon." Jared laughed, his eyes oddly glimmering. "Or we could do the bug catching contest. Isn't that right over there?" He asked, noticing a poster for it on a wall near the entrance to the National Park.

Taylor and Porygon2 sped. Now he was close to where the disturbance had occured initially, he could sense the dark mind. He skidded into the alley, and saw Mason. "Oh, hey, buddy," he quipped, perhaps unwisely. "Long time no see! What brings you to this corner of town?"

 

Without waiting for a response, he flicked a pokeball, releasing his Manetric.

 

"PORYGON!" the Pokemon said in a, somewhat loud, robotic voice before smiling back. [Or whatever Porygon2's equivalent is]  He answered Renee's question by following the same path Taylor took in an attempt to catch up.

Renee shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not," she quipped back. "All I know is that you were promised a helping hand." Looking around, she murmured, "and that you wouldn't keep knocking people out." Sighing, she said, "what's this, then?"

"Alrighty." Comet said, with a soft giggle. Such an action caused Duosion to roll her eyes at the trainer, though Comet couldn't help it. Jared was simply good company.  Something Comet rarely got to experience. "Let's go, then." The two then made their way to Ecruteak.

 

As they walked, Comet remembered that this person was indeed a trainer. "You're a trainer, right?" She began. "So, what are you doing here in Johto?"
