Basically, some of the earth caste asked a Mechanius Techpriest who basically told them "it works because the orks believe it works", the tau just go with that because they have no clue how it works either XD

Isn't that a bit harsh? If your Guardmen are charging there's a good 95% change they're all gonna die horribly.

True, but it's better to actually die holding the line than (in some cases, literally) throwing yourself into a meat grinder.

pretty sure the final test for guardsmen is to survive the first 24hrs of combat. your consistered a proper guardsmen if you can live longer than that, even if you die in the 25th hour XD

40k is awesome, even though I got into it back in early 4th edition, but never really played. I still follow the fluff and watch batreps, and I think I'll start collecting again.

 

Tau, Tyranids and Eldar are best races. Slaanesh is best chaos god, Salamanders are best space marine chapter, Death Korps of Krieg are best guard and Iyanden is best craftworld.

 

Blood Angels and Khorne worshippers are the worst, and I'm not too fond of Tzeentch either.
