This used to be the hardest question for me to answer, but now it's very simple: My perseverance. I've always been able to make it through much more than I expected. Heck, I started out that way since I was very medically fragile when I was born! I just think about where I am now and I'm incredibly proud at how far I've come.

Whatever we want. It depends on the family in question, what they're in the mood for, what's part of their diet, what's available, etc.
If you are asking about common staples; there's cheeseburgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, BBQ, etc. However, America is a multicultural country with people from many different heritages. So depending on your family's heritage, you might prefer to other kinds of dishes more often.
