Yes I love FIM, but it can't be called a great cartoon. Neither can Powerpuff girls or littest pet shop. Sorry! Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want? I don't get why this is such a minor thing to some people. She had a lot to do with the show. They're only screening for things they wouldn't approve of in terms of the audience for their toys, etc. So they actually have little to do with what FiM started out as. Go on MLP wiki and read the development section for any of the Mane 6 or the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and it will be pretty clear that the show as it is simply would have never existed without her. I don't think she is the be all, end all. The cast and crew are very talented and the show would probably have been nowhere as good with lesser talent, but the show simply wouldn't exist without Faust's ideas. 1 Application REJECTED! I mean, Let's be honest, she had to pass everything by Hasbro, so she had little real control. That's meaningless... if she didn't come up with the ideas for friendship is magic, it wouldn't exist. Hasbro has created multiple generations before Lauren came on and they were horrible. Like I said... go watch them. That's what got past Hasbro and got approved. If she hadn't recreated the series in her own vision, Hasbro would have never created anything even remotely similar to FIM and none of this would exist. Sure, there are tons of other talented people involved, but let's be honest... the show would still be largely the same if Tara wasn't voicing Twilight or if AKR wasn't writing for the show... the rest of the cast does wonderful things for the show, but it was Lauren that made this entire world come to life and it is Lauren that we have to thank for this fandom existing. She gets butthurt when people have something to say about her work, or favor someone over her. Like for instance, a fellow accidentally tagged her in a tweet on twitter, that was for only Meghan McCarthy to see. She got angry for the guy for saying something about Meghan being a better writer, and Lauren came out with a smart response. A fucking masterpiece, that's what. I love all the writing for FIM, and I don't out her on a pedastool, but I revere her amongst this community and in my heart for what she has done, and the idea that has ultiamtely changed the way I view the world and life itself.
