After walking for who knows how long I finally looked up from my trance. I was completely lost..."how the hell did I get lost, I was on a path the whole time!" Frustration clouded my mind for a bit as I blindly complained circling and stomping frantically. I let out a sigh before I realized there were a couple of yellow blips on my E.F.S. Down below the hill I stood on was a little shack and fire. I couldn't really make out who it was but I took caution, arming my weapons I try my best to not get caught.

Kayle looked at Noble as he gave the speech about leadership, what he said was mostly true and then she began to evaluate everypony's capabilities. Noble wouldn't be a bad leader, but he seemed like he didn't want to have the burden, Baryon was extraordinarily kind which may not have been a good thing in some scenarios, the rest, Kayle couldn't make a conclusion with the little time she spent with the rest. She looked a moment at herself, well at her armor, she was the only "soldier" and the only one with advanced training, she thought about herself as a leader to this group only because of her background, but she didn't want to be burdened or ordered around. "UGH!" She thought aloud in her head, she wasn't liking any of this leadership business, and if anything she would take the role if nobody wanted it.

"So if the existing candidates are no good to you guys, how about me? I got training you ponies...lack and I have lead other ponies before."

Kayle turned a moment to look at Noble and then kept quiet.

Noble laid down to relieve the pressure on his injured leg, and glanced at Kayle. He gave a supportive smile as he helped himself to a can of Cram. After a few mouthfuls, made difficult by his leg, he swallowed and spoke again. “If you want to be leader, then I’ll support you as best I can.”

He wanted to say more or even ask Kayle about the way she was looking at him. He wasn’t getting a distrustful vibe from her, yet her gaze seemed to linger on Noble all the same. But then, Noble found his gaze lingering on her as well. Admiring her attractive features and her beautiful icy blue eyes. After a few moments, he quickly looked away when he realized he was staring, but he was almost sure that he was blushing.

I didn't know how long I would stay hidden up here but I somewhat felt it wasn't gonna last long. I pulled out a pair of binoculars out of a compartment to see who or what was down there. Upon further inspection through my scope I eyed a pony in a hazmat suit plus...a sprite bot." Alright Hazel nut keep it together" I said biting my lip. I aimed my binoculars to the left spotting a group of ponies near a shack, they didn't look like savages but...wait a minute. Either I am going crazy or is that a Pegasus..."DAMN TWO OF THEM!" My missile launcher opened up ready to fire before a memory came rushing to me. I slowly stopped grinding my teeth and closed my launcher. If I was gonna reconnect with the rangers here I'm gonna need some directions and blindly killing ponies even if they were enclave wasn't gonna help me find some. I sighed before I started sliding down the hill.

Hazmat felt like he was being watched. He grabbed his rifle and loaded it before looking around. He knew that the group wouldn't care if he wandered off, mostly because he knew they didn't really care about him and the feeling was mutual. Hazmat signaled ED-E to come to him. Hazmat looked through his scope at the surrounding area.

I hit a large rock when I reached the bottom of the hill shielding me from the others. I began to notice two blips on my E.F.S coming closer to my position. From the position I was it was probably the hazmat suited one with his sprite bot. Well I better not keep him waiting I thought before walking away from the rocky cover. I turned to see the hazmat pony with a very beautiful robot. Who ever it was in the suit probably didn't mind cleanliness since his suit was covered in dirt and the dried remains of blood. I stood probably a head or two taller then it even outside the suit." Hello stranger I am star paladin Hazel nut of the dragon ridge ranger contingent!" I loudly boomed my weapons ready to fire if who ever it was planned on doing other then talking. From where I stood I could probably restrain him if anything does come to that.

Hazmat looked at the Ranger. Hazmat walked closer to the Ranger an when he was in speaking distance he said "A steel Ranger... I haven't seen a steel ranger since... since the moohave when they gave me ED-E... " Hazmat was cautious, he knew that the ranger would be able to bring him down if he caught him off guard. Hazmat grabbed his hunting revolver and made sure that he could drop the ranger if he tried anything. ED-E made a beeping noise and hid behind Hazmat. "Don't worry ED-E." Hazmat said.

(Baryon)

I nodded in agreement along with Noble's remark, finally piecing on what the group was doing and quickly making a response to it. "Sorry, Kay, but I think we need someone who's been in the 'group' longer. You don't quite...understand the others yet to be capable of making the decision," I admitted. "Though you do have the most fighting experience, as well at Steady. I'm not sure what you learn up in the skies."

*Baryon, however, failed to notice that Hazmat was missing from the campfire.* I decided to change the mood of the morale-low group and offered to change the subject. "Anyway, we can push aside the leadership issue for now. I still don't know all of you yet, so whoever's willing to talk about themselves are free to come up," I said. "It's like one of our Stable meetups. Only I know all the residents..."

Not waiting for an answer, I started, "So...I'm Baryon. Stable Clinic worker and all that. I left my Stable recently for some delivery service, and so I need to venture northwestward to find it. I like...working with terminals and playing the piano – trust me, I was known for being the only pony who can play it well. But that's besides the point; all you need to know is that if you get yourself hurt, you know who to find."

" This is not a very nice first impression, you didn't even take me out to dinner first." I retorted back at the sudden large caliber pistol aimed at my noggin. I had to distract him...c'mon think of something hazel." Uh...CACAW!" I blurted out causing the one in the hazmat suit to studder a bit which allowed me to straight up smack the revolver out of his hoof. I then proceeded to stomp on it three times before grabbing the pony and throwing him against the rock I previously hid behind. Pinning him against the rock with my left forearm I made sure he didn't have any other weapons." Honestly I have been trying real hard to not kill ponies without talking to them first. It only resulted in guns being drawn on me I mean c'mon! On the other hoof I heard you mutter something about rangers. Can you please tell me what you know so we can be friends forever or something!" I yelled before slamming my hoof into the rock causing some cracks in it.

Hazmat kicked the ranger off of him and looked at him. ED-E brought Hazmat his revolver and Hazmat put it away. "How about you never do that again and I tell you, and just so you know, you are going to pay for breaking my revolver, those things are not easy to fix. ED-E make sure he doesn't try anything." ED-E made a beeping noise and got ready blast the ranger. ED-E made a beepng noise and Hazmat said "So, what do you want to know."

"Finally cooperation either way I am from the contingent of dragon ridge we are looking to reconnect with rangers all around the area. We just need to find them, if you have any info on the rangers here please do tell. Nice legs by the way hell hounds even have trouble with me in full grapple, that or my walking for around a couple of weeks nonstop with my suits power down at minimal weakened my strength. Don't worry about your gun got another one that's probably stronger. Now if you would kindly introduce me to your allies over there and tell me why I shouldn't kill the enclave one." I said before handing over my smith and Wesson 500. Damn haven't eaten in awhile and my medical feature is down, I need some scrap metal I whined to myself.

"I can't really call them my allies, we were pointing guns at each other from the start. Come with me, I will tell you about the Rangers in the moohave by the fire." ED-E bumped Hazmat In the back of the head and played a recording of the steel ranger Elder "You must not tell anypony of our location" Hazmat looked a ED-E and said "yeah but I think they will be okay with me telling a steel ranger." Hazmat said before heading back to his fire.

I was exhausted, not just from the long walk I just had. But from multiple battles ranging from raiders, slavers, and talon mercs. One battle resulting in a old skycar blowing up directly in my face and a sniper round in my leg. All of which was easily fixed if I could find some scrap metal. I however was happy this stranger knew of rangers, in which I say was worth the whole trip. Seemed fond about his sprite bot, I couldn't really judge when I had a whole garage dedicated to robots. As he walked backed to his camp I slowly followed along content with my trip, I wonder how that griffon is doing?

Hazmat walked back to his fire and sat down. He waited for the ranger. Hazmat pulled a repair kit out and began trying to fix his revolver. He pulled out his switchblade out and carved the radiation symbol to symbolize that it belong to him. ED-E made a beeping noise and automatically went back to passive mode. Hazmat did a field strip on his revolver to repair anything that was damaged on the inside. Hazmat put the revolver back together and ED-E helped weld pieces of the barrel back together with his zapper. Hazmat burned his hoof but didn't flinch, even though his hoof was smoking.

I sat down at the campfire wondering how the others are going to be like. I eyed the shed and wondered if I could find any scrap metal there. " So how are the rangers in the Moohave, did they do any thing different from the standard rangers?" I asked, reconnecting with a foreign contingent and analyzing them correctly would allow me to obtain inquisitor status. One in which I dearly wanted very much, I thought to myself while I tried to calibrate my left leg.

"They are quite cautious, only letting small scouting parties to leave their bunker, the scouting parties rarely come back alive." Hazmat said as he finish repairing the revolver's barrel. "About time I should introduce myself... Hazmat is my name, Revenge is my game..." Hazmat said as he showed Hazel the tick marks carved into the barrel of his revolver. "Also just like you, I hate the Enclave..."

"Then as I fear they are small and can't get reinforcements from their area. Allowing other factions to kick their metal asses. I need to report this to my elder, my inquisitor rank is secured. Thank you hazmat for your assistance in our cause. I might as well give you your own set of power armor by now hahaha! Either way the enclave is only a nuisance in my area after we sent their sorry winged hides back into the clouds at the battle of dragon ridge. So uh got any scrap metal in that shed?" I asked politely, it's been awhile since a friend of the rangers has been seen.

"Happy to help" Hazmat said. "The Enclave has no presence in the moohave, but ever since I left they seem to be hunting me down for ED-E." Hazmat said as he searched his saddle bag for some scrap metal. "I always have spare scrap metal and take these, I know you steel rangers like technology and I got these off some Enclave that ended up on the wrong end of my gun. I keep them as trophies but, you can probably make better use of them then I can" Hazmat said as he set down some scrap metal and some pieces of Enclave armor along with a scorpion tail from Enclave armor.

This was a major turn of events for me. First I was constantly attacks and lost, now I am completing my mission and fixing myself up! " Thank you kind friend I happily take your offer. Now how about those fellows of yours nearby?" I said before taking the hefty offering from Hazmat. I put the scrap metal into my right flank. A feeling of relief surrounded me as my armor bent to the right proportions and the suits features powered up. The medical enchantment kicked in relieving me of pain and bringing me back to full strength. I also take the enclave gear, maybe I can give it to an initiate or something.

((Just to clarify, we are not in the Moohave and this is not New Pegasus. This is Northern Equestria and takes place decades before the events of Fallout: Equestria.

Also, Steel Ranger, you are power-playing. Please do not do it again.))

Unable to sleep, I merely rolled back and forth on the cot, attempting to find that comfortable spot until I gave up on my efforts. There's just too much noise outside...when do they shut the fuck up? And who's making all that noise? Finally, I couldn't stand it, and opened the door outside. "May you ponies, please–"

I stopped my tracks and stared at an unfamiliar pony, clad in...Steel Ranger armor. At the time, I wasn't sure what was worse: Seeing a pony who's possibly bent on killing slavers or an extra pony to the group when we were already having issues with rationing food. Either way, I wasn't sure if I should stay or not, and secretly returned back to the shack to pack my things. Staying here was no longer safe.

((hehe woops, my bad sorry <:3))" You know I really do want to meet these traveling companions of yours. Ima go introduce me self in the nicest way possible, and I wanna go see what's in the shack." I said before getting up and heading towards the others, curious on their view points.

Kayle was very quiet as she eyed the familiar hazmat-suited pony that was conversing with a pony that bore the armor of her enemy. She shifted uneasily as he approached the group, he was large, but nothing could quite stand against her weapons, they were...special.

"Noble, I don't like the look of this ranger.." She whispered to him very subtly

She was positioned herself a bit closer to Noble as the ranger got closer, he wouldn't fire his missile near innocent ponies, would he?

"Damnit" Kayle thought to herself as she realized this ranger may have been part of the group that was hell-bent on killing her.

Hazmat looked at Hazel and said "Alright" Before going back to what he was doing before, repairing his revolver. He had to remove the bullets that were jammed into it the chamber. He tried to use his switch blade but it seemed to have made it worst on some of them but he managed to get one round out. He then took the round apart and collected everything but the shell because the shell was too damaged to be used.

Shit, I thought as the Steel Ranger approached the shack. Where am I supposed to go now? I can try leaving, but the Rangers have E.F.S. radars...but if I don't leave now, I won't be able to escape with all their E.F.S radars active. Wait... I grinned as I thought of a plan. They all have their E.F.S radars on, which means that it would be impossible for them to track a blip between a pile of blips. Perfect. And with the sneak factor added...

I went into a ready position, my magic attempting to mask off some of the sound by using the magic to grip onto the wooden floor to prevent it from creaking. I held hard to my supply slingpack, opening the window and jumping out. I smiled as I successfully jumped outside into the dark night; I even had time to close the window shut from the outside. I decided make a run of it, the night hopefully masking my body.

As I walked to the shack I could feel the others eyeing me, especially the pegasus in the black carapace the enclave calls armor." I reached the door of the shack before turning around to speak." That must be some special armor if it doesn't have a scorpion tail, hopefully it will do you better then that officers hell fire gear he kept boasting about. Too bad he wont be using it any more, I made sure of that." I said in a monotone voice before walking into the shack and closing the door behind me. The shack was strangely empty of anything alive, I swear there was a blip pointing to the shack.

I turned on my helmet light after a minute of bad cooperation and began looking for anything interesting. Upon further inspection I found a fridge that probably didn't work and found some alcohol. I closed the fridge alcohol was never really my thing. I decided to open the battered yet intact window to take a look out at the night. In all honestly even if it was in the morning the view wouldn't be spectacular at all. After derping around for a sec or two I noticed a figure my light shined upon. Even while squinting I couldn't make out whatever it was or what direction it was going. In my forty somethingish life span I learned to play safe then sorry. So I fired a missile at its general direction not knowing if it would hit at all, it would probably scare off who ever though. As a gave it a second thought that might not of been a smart idea.
