Let me just put it out there, Golden Gates is flippin' adorable.

Whoever is responsible for the design gets a Pinkie hug *squee*

Sadly, I am not coming to the con, but anyone who is going should enjoy it.

One of our staff leads actually said this yesterday:

 

"Looking out the window, I see the sun set skies that inspired the color scheme for Golden Gates. This is home"

 

So those are the colors that inspired here. She is a yellow gold color because "gold" and her cutie mark is inspired by the gold rush that helped make San Francisco the big city it is.

She truely is an amazing design; very creative and inspired. I thought at first that the "gold rush" cutie mark was representative of all of California.

That is very cool, a shame the con is too far away from me, but I'm settling with the TX Bronyfair this September. Our mascot is known as Rising Star, like your mascot being a perfect representation of the Golden City, Star is a good cowpony representation of TX!
