Okay, I'm really sorry if this is the wrong forum but I'm really freaked out right now.  I joined that stupid westburo church forum to prove a point and I didn't put any info on there about me and somehow they know all this stuff and I'm really freaked out.  This is the topic

It's because they have your IP address, and there's probably a tracking cookie in your browser.  There are things you can do on your end.

-Clear all cookies from your browser and clear your browser history.

 

-Scan your computer for spyware/malware.  Clean everything it finds off your computer.

 

-Don't, under any circumstances, log on to that forum again!

They are not 1337 haxors. They are just using Google on the name you provided them. If they found your general location, an admin or moderator used a geolocator on your IP. It gives your relative position. Every site you go to receives your IP, thus has this info.

Still, there is no such thing as 'investigation' when it comes to that crap. That is how I landed into MLP. There are too many awesome thing to read in life, without wasting your eyesight on that.

As has been mentioned before, it's not a genuine site and you likely aren't in any kind of danger. If you find it unsettling there, either find out if there are steps to have your account deleted, or just simply don't return.

 

In any case, this thread has run its course.
