The pony on the left belongs to youtube personality PaleoSteno. He was pretty popular during the rise of the brony fandom (from 2011-2012). He and Saberspark (another popular brony youtuber) are currently working on a documentary explaining the phenomenon around the brony community. He also currently hosts Brony Breakdown (a weekly show where he and cohost Tommy Oliver discuss all things pony).

Now, back to the shipping above. The reason why Forlong ships Paleo and Sapphire Shores is because of their love of dolphins. Paleo's favorite animal is the dolphin and since the dolphin is Shores's lucky animal, it just seemed natural to pair the 2 of them together.
